MaXX - I went swimming there one time at their pool on the top of the hotel. To tell you the truth, I thought the place was kind of a dump. I think for the price, it is not bad though. It is on the older side now. At one time, it was one of the nicer hotels in Cali. The area, El Centro, is more run down also. For long term as El Diablo mentioned, apartments are an option. Also you might look into Suites Cora or Suites Travelers. I really like Suites Travelers, which is Colombian owned. They are also in Bogotá. I paid $45 for a beautiful suite in a real nice area and I think if you are there more than a week, you get better rates. I have been to the Suites Travelers website and have tried to book it online but the email returns undelivered. I am going to columbia for 3-6 months so I am looking for something good but well priced. Did you book it before you went down there??? Thanks Title: Re: Edge - How did you book at Suites Travelers Post by: Edge on July 11, 2001, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Edge - How did you book at Suites Travel..., posted by MaXX on Jul 11, 2001
MaXX - my girlfriend, who is in Cali took care of it. You can call them, but I do not know of your Spanish skills. I am not sure what monthly rate you would receive. I can put my girlfriend onto it, if you would like. Shoot me a private e-mail if you want her to check it out. Are you also interested in maybe renting an apartment as El Diablo mentioned? aristi is o k ...i guess. foods good , rooms are o k, they have a pool on the roof, weight room , and every weekend they have babybeef barbecues poolside. however the area the aristi is located at has alot to be desired. My friend stayed there for a couple of weeks. It's in El Centro -- not the best place to be - but the rooms are clean and the prices reasonable. I think it runs about $25 but I'm not sure. If you are staying more than a month, find a furnished apartment after you arrive. If its only for a week or two, I'd consider Norm's B&B. It can be fun to hang out with some other gringos. |
