Title: I got my Visa In 7 Days! (Columbia) Post by: DallasTexas on June 27, 2001, 04:00:00 AM This must be a record. I went in on Wednesday June 13th for the first appointment we were there about 45 minutes. We then got an appointment for the next Wednesday June 20th and were there about 3 hours and came back with our Visa that afternoon.

The Embassy in Bogota used to have a policy that your second appointment must be at least 10 working days after your first(they told me this personally on 2/7/2000).I hope this is a new policy everyone can count on and not just an individual helping you out. I got the distinct impression from my experience and also seeing a couple of other people there that the person at the window has a wide amount of descretion as to when the next appointment is. I had all of the documents ready to hand to him when I had my first appointment including the application which they normally give you after you get your number and before you talk to the person the first time. I did read where at least one other person was able to do it in 7 days as well. |
