Title: Agency rip off
Post by: Alberto on June 11, 2001, 04:00:00 AM
Some months ago, I posted a warning about Ecuadorlove.com as a rip off operation. Well, after several months of complaining to the owner and to his server, I gotten nowhere.  He is still showing my pictures(stolen) that by the way are in my website and were taken by me in Honduras. Now I see that he is listed in this Goodwife listing. Patrick, are you there?

Regards

Alberto

Post complete details on the message board, including URLs and I'll look into it.  I'm not checking email, so don't send it that way.

The offending company: www.ecuadorlove.com/tours htm  .  there are two of my pictures in there, you could see them at www.latinwomenintl.com  in the news and gossip page, the pictures were taken by me, of the girls in Honduras. This fellow ( Glen Ganz)refuses to take them down.  Thank you Patrick !

Alberto,

Looks like you've got a possible copyright infringement case.  I don't know the requirement of proof, but I know you can watermark your images using wither Photo Shop or Paint Shop Pro with an add-on.  I recommed doing this with all your images.  From what I saw, it looks like he's using a group party photo of yours, but since he's not profiting directly from it (i.e. not selling tha address of a lady who's photo and address he got from you) it doesn't look like he's scamming clients so I wouldn't remove his listing.

Patrick :
Thank you for looking into this matter. I already talked to my lawyer, and he says there is no way to get this guy in Ecuador, even when he clearly violated the copyright laws.  Even when he is no profiting from selling the ladies addresses, He is profiting from  misleading potencial customers into believing they will encounter ladies like those, if they go on his tours.
