Hey guys, getting closer to my new ship off date of June 1st. Trying to read as much as I can about the city, nightlife, etc. I've come across some amazing, interesting, and wild stuff in the last two days. I'm beginning to wonder...is Cali anything like going south of the border to Mexico?

A few posts I've read, and even a few "private services," indicate that there is quite a heavy prostitution and sex trade building in Cali? Is this true? I suppose where's theres so much rumored beauty in the women, there will inevitably be the seedier side. I hope not though.

If anyone has any experiences, good or bad that they can share, I'd like to know about them. I'll even send you my e-mail. Since I've lengthened my vacation to 3 weeks I suppose I'll eventually find out for myself. Still, it's best to go informed.

You need to be careful because some of the agency girls are ladies of the night. I have met many ladies that are professional by day and work at night if you know what I mean..  If you are looking for a house of fun just ask any taxi driver, there is house around every corner in Cali.

Very interesting question he asks.    Have these girls worked their way into the agencies at all ?   Is there any way that these agencies can check out women like this ?  I wouldn`t think they would look like the women of the night in New York, or on the strip in LA.  They`re at least fun to look at with the way they dress etc.   If anyone knows of places in Cali or in Cartagena where these girls are, please tell us, so at least I can write that place off. Actually, prostitution is more prevalent in Cartegena, because there are more tourists. I wouldn't worry about it at all. There is prostitution everywhere.

I'm sure the percentages are pretty darn low, and unless you go looking for it, will most likely not notice it.
