Title: OK Men....It's H Hour Post by: JunFan68 on May 23, 2001, 04:00:00 AM Gentlemen...I'm going in. I will be in BQ tommorrow. Beatriz and I are having a formal reception for our engagement. The reason for this was because we are not marrying in Colombia and this (I guess)confirms the engagement for the Church and for the society. It looks like it will be the biggest thing to ever happen to the family as they are definately on the 'poor side'. We are hosting 55 people at the Prado with Chevis (favorito de los colombianos), Champagne, Beer, Buffet, soft drinks, music, etc...I'm kinda nervous but I am taking two of my friends from Dallas with me. They are already jockying for position for Olga (Beatriz's cousin...very attractive).
I've only been to BQ once, and just for the day so I don't know that much about it. But I am dam sure gonna find out what that place is all about. Apparently, there will be a slew of her friends with us by the pool tommorrow, not to mention the four that will be meeting us at the airport. There is a God and He is a man....viva Colombia!! Mike, I know how important this reception is to you and Beatriz, the fact that you aren't getting married in Colombia caused a bit of friction for the both of you early on and I can imagine with her family, so this is a very big event for all. You and Beatriz make a great looking couple, I'm sure everyone there will see that and if some of the 55 people haven't had a chance to meet you yet, they'll get to see how much you care about her.
