Title: The complete colombian process
Post by: Diego A. on May 02, 2001, 04:00:00 AM
Hola a todos,
Can those who have or are going through the paper trail process lay it out for those
of us who have yet to go through it.
What is required for documents to marry a colombian woman?  I've heard about rejections for missing
one little detail and at the price of flights I want to get it right the first time.  I've heard you need
your birth cert, divorce cert, refrences, IRS three years, employment, ect.,all apostlecized within
three months in order to just get to get permission from the colombian government to marry and
then all the stuff you need to go to bogota at the US embassy to fill direct consular it sounds
overwhelming please put it in laymans terms.
gracias
D.

Diego - you can check out Gary Bala's website at www.visa-attorney.com which I believe has a run down on what documents you need to marry in Colombia as well a run down on the K-1 visa.

Good luck

Dear Sir:

It is very difficult-I had had my paperwork rejected for apostillization for numerous reasons such as a photocopy, not having the county the papers was notarized in and various other problems, but Nidyan is worth it!!
