Dear Gentlemen:

   Doug, Eddie and others-Thanks, my Cali brothers!!  But I need to know if any of you have had to get a power of attorney
giving legal authority for your fiances to go to  Bogota before the wedding and she had to file papers!
This notary in colombia said that I must get a power of attorney and do this at the Houston
embassy.  Do y'all know anything about this!!!  Pete, help me please!!!  I'm a lawyerless
gringo in need of help!!!

In my case (my wife never been married/no kids)I haven't heard of this.  Our first trip to the Embassy was together and the second visit (9 days later) she was alone.

  Thanks.  when my fiance told me that we probably did not have enough time to get this paperwork finished even we have until middle of July, I then panicked.
  I am wondering if this translator is confused.
