Allow me to make some comments about the various regions of Brazil and the differences between the women of these areas. The south of Brazil is very  European and if you are seeking something more "exotic," the  south of Brazil is not the place. Many women in Sao Paulo, for example;  are very Americanized, like nice apartments, nice cars and are not all that  different from their American counterparts, i.e., very materialistic and high  maintenance  Rio is very different, but the middle class girls are pretty  much the same in tastes and orientation as the Paulistas. The numerous  drop-dead gorgeous girls on the beach in Copacabana are very frequently  prostitutes and are used to finding affluent Germans, Frenchmen, Italians, etc.  for high times, but generally do not make for the best wife material.

The  northeast is almost a different country. First of all, the northeast is  much poorer and the people are much more simple, friendly, and outgoing. There is an abundance of beautiful girls, frequently darker and more exotic looking than the girls of the south, who are from poor, but good families who  would love to meet a nice European or American man to marry and would make very  loyal, affectionate and good wives.

The fact of the matter is that it is  virtually impossible for a Brazilian woman in the northeast to find a Brazilian  man from this area that won't cheat on her, will support her and generally be a  reliable husband.  For this reason, the ladies here are most interested in  finding foreign husbands. It is practically there only hope for a stable  family situation. Many of the girls already have children, do not speak any other languages, and are generally not that well educated. The school  system is perhaps the worst in Latin America. What they lack in material  and educational level, however, is perhaps why the women here are so sweet and  affectionate. Brazil, particularly the northeast, is a very liberal  country sexually, and out of all of the Latin American countries, I think that  the women here are the most sensuous.

For an American man that would be  most happy with a well-heeled, thirty year old lawyer from Bogota without  children who has already been in the United States and Europe various times and  speaks English, this is not the place to come.

For someone who would like a woman from a simple background, who is less pretentious, more spontaneous, "hotter," and generally more exciting,  this is the place. The cultural gap, however, is greater, because you are dealing not only with  the difference between Brazilian and American, but also the differences in social class which perhaps is even greater.

A  professional lady from Sao Paulo for example, is not all that different from a  professional women in the States--certainly more feminine in all probability,  but with the same materialistic world view and expectation, for a very high  standard of living.  

Another important  difference here as well, is that the women here frequently do not trust a man  under thirty years old and have no upper limit on age preference. The  majority prefer men over forty. An American friend, for example, is  a retired history teacher in his late fifities and he is constantly amazed by the lack of age prejudice. I don't think he  has dated anyone over 25 years old. He  thinks he has discovered heaven! Generally, there are almost no Americans  here in Recife. Other Europeans come to Recife, but generally, Americans go to other  Latin countries.

This is fertile ground waiting to be  discovered!

I've lived in brasil on and off for a period of around 7-8 months. I'll write a quick guide about Brasilian women for you guys....in summary they equal BAD NEWS...avoid..more later tonight.

In the UK, BTinternet is one of the largest ISP's, probably explains similar IP due to multitude of users. FYI, BT stands for British Telecom, the company which used to control 100% of our phone lines prior to privatisation.

Tommi,
If you check the e-mail address on Ray's profile you will note that his business is International Lady at www.intlady.com.

From his web site appears that they may be planning a tour to Brazil later this year. They also have a personal listing service...that includes sending your profile to Brazil.

This is not an endorsement. I have never used Ray's services, but he has a pretty decent rep on all the forum's.

Please note:
There are no tours planed for the City of Recife!  I don't think the city or beach could handle more than 2 or 3
of you guys at one time. ( Smile )

This place is for just that! ( 1, 2 or 3 guys ) That want to  travel together and find a good wife or have a great
time on vacation and see what the Brazilian culture is all about. ( AND bring us back some great beach photos.)

Personally, I think that if any two gentlemen went there, we may not see them again and never would get a trip
report !  We would most likely have to send out a rescue party to the beach to find them!

I will be getting some more information on Hotel names and prices and average air fare prices in the next few
days and I will let everyone know what I find.

I must say I am happy to see that there is some adventurous soles out there, that want to go some place other
than Cali.

Since my phone # and email address is now available I will be happy to share any information that I have by
either email or on the phone:(Phone is prefered as I can give you more info.)

Its population is around 1,500,000

There is one small agency in Recife, however The name is unknown to me at this time.

No, I don't live in Brazil but I would definitely like to sit on the beach in this town and watch the bikinis go by, of corse my wife may have some objections to this but it is a nice thought. It is certinly on the top of my list of cities to visit!

As I am an agency owner, I am afraid I can not give you more information, as I do not want to break the rules of the board. I'm sure someone will post that information eventually.

I have monitored the postings here for a long time but never posted. I just thought that this letter that I received would be of interest to several of you looking for information about Brazil and new places to go. The gentlemen that wrote the letter does live in Brazil.

Well, I'm not an agency owner so I can share some information I've attained legitimately. I purchased a subscription to the database of girls listed in International Lady (http://intlady.com). There are 31 girls in Brazil as of 4/18. Take a look in pages 2,4,53,73,95,96 and 98. There are multiple girls on some of these pages. Not too many are from Recife, though.

I have an ad through International Lady and I got an email from a lady in Recife who seems very nice but she has a child and I don't want a wife with a child. yes i agree with tommi , ray give us some more info . i like colombia especially cali but to be honest with you im getting a little tired of the constant flow of gringos , the regular closings of agencies , the increased crime , and the parade of shills promoting their favorite agency . i look forward to finding new areas to explore , so if you can give us some more info please do . thanks
