Title: Sad to see people fail
Post by: JoeBravo on March 31, 2001, 05:00:00 AM
It's frustrating how some fail on things they love to have. In the case of people in this board, being burned by people whom they love. But it's much sadder to see people quit on their quest. Who said love would be easy? If it's that way then no one should be getting hurt nor fail. BUt such is life. SOme people are just unlucky enough not to be happy right away but somehow life will be better sometime in that failed person's lifetime. A person can only fail all the time if he/she lets failure or frustration be a major part of their life. Learn from mistakes or failures then move on. Might not be easy at first but knowing what to look for to avoid being hurt again should help a person out find want he wants. I don't believe that certain people's destiny is to be alone in life because it's really up to the person on how life is going to be for him. A temporary set back shouldn't become a permanent misery. Pick up the pieces, regroup, think of a better strategy then approach life with better motivation and hope. This is just a general advise for everyone. You might lose the battle for now but you haven't lost the war. Just like when General MaCArthur had to retreat and leave the Philippines, he promised "I shall return". And return he did. Keep your heads up and pride intact. Life can only get better.

I was going to post a similar post but you did such a great job.  We all fail in life when we first try, just like a baby when he/she first trys to walk.  If we look at our failures in an objective and non judgmental manner without trying to lay blame on anyone, including ourselves, then we can learn and not repeat the same mistakes.  We have to recognize that it takes two people to make a relationship work but only one person for the relationship to fail.

Keep up the good work

Alvin

Very good advice JoeBravo. I am much older than you are.
but, I could add to your advice. Give God a chance to help.
I guarantee the results will be the best.
