Title: The Tight Skirt Post by: Stephen on April 14, 2004, 04:00:00 AM THE TIGHT SKIRT
As the bus stopped and it was her turn to get on, she became aware that her skirt was too tight to allow her leg to come up to the height of the first step of the bus.
With a little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip a little more and again was unable to make the step. About this time, a large Texan who was standing behind her picked her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus. She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and yelled, "How dare you touch my body! I don't even know who you are!" The Texan smiled and drawled, "Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured we was friends." Hmmm, so the women unzips the guy's fly down a bit and then down a bit more and then even more. So if it had actually been her skirt instead of the guy's fly she would have been zipping her skirt down. Don't see how that would have helped her getting on the bus unless she was trying to drop her skirt to the ground. You would assume for her to be successful in being able to raise her leg she would be zipping her skirt UP, from the hem, not down, from the waist but I have never known a fly that unzips up so it seems unlikely she was zipping up, but rather was zipping down. And if she was zipping down, then she knew her skirt would soon be on the ground and wouldn't be so prudish about having someone touch her since she obviously would be a pretty loose woman to just drop her skirt in public. Okay, over analysis of the joke, but it's plot holes are too big to be able to suspend disbelief long enough to find it funny. I thought exactly the same thing when I first heard this joke but now I've got an explanation! (Shows just how little I have to do at work this afternoon, don't it?) Here it is. It's obvious when you think about it. Her skirt did zip from the waist down just as a man's pants do. It fit tight on her waist so she was reaching back trying to unzip down from the waist so she could let the skirt ride up her hips which would in turn give her legs more freedom to take the necessary big step! How does that sound? SteveG Title: Gentlemen..... Post by: Stephen on April 14, 2004, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to I got it, posted by SteveG on Apr 14, 2004
....If you have to give this much thought to a joke, then it really isn't funny. Stephen Title: Re: Gentlemen..... Post by: lswote on April 15, 2004, 04:00:00 AM Title: You're Wrong Stephen! Stephen, It IS funny even though I've heard it before. My only excuse for all the analysis is that I am easily entertained when the subject of tight skirts comes up. LOL Keep the jokes comming - I always like them. SteveG Title: I got it Post by: SteveG on April 14, 2004, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: The Tight Skirt, posted by lswote on Apr 14, 2004
