Title: Mexifornia on fire! Post by: Humabdos on October 29, 2003, 05:00:00 AM Hope all of you down in Mexifornia are OK. Ray & Jeff are you burning up yet?
Looks like one of those fires was started my some Mexican guy who got lost while hunting possums and shot a flare gun in to dry brush. What a f-ing idiot! Hum Title: Fire... Post by: Dave H on October 31, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Mexifornia on fire!, posted by Humabdos on Oct 29, 2003
I hope all you P-L Southern Californians and your families are all safe and out of harms way! I am praying for rain. Dave H. Title: It worked! Post by: Ray on October 31, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Fire..., posted by Dave H on Oct 31, 2003
Thanks Dave! I don't understand why the big guy would listen to YOU, but we did have a little rain yesterday and last night. So, whatever you prayed, do it again and ask for a monsoon downpour, O.K.? :-) What do you want to bet that some Muslim whacko sympathetic to Osama is getting lots of ideas from this fire story? Can you imagine the damage that one terrorist could do with a small rented plane and a flare gun under the right weather conditions? And he wouldn’t even have to commit suicide! Scary, huh? I guess we'll have to hope that Jay spots them down there in the Florida flight schools before they have a chance to carry out their next plot... Ray Title: Scary! Hi Ray, I like it when those whackos commit suicide...I figure that they will eventually all be dead. Maybe we should open up a terriorist suicide training camp. For the final test, they have to blow themselves up. LOL I have been concerned about terrorists starting simple fires for a long time. It doesn't take brains...just look at all the damage Mrs. Oleary's cow did! Glad I could help with the rain. I will give it another shot. I'll put on my purple G-String and do another rain dance. :o))) Dave H.

I've missed two days of work this week because of the fires. My home is okay.....but the 15 freeway has been open-closed quite a few times. Hope that wasn't you down at the LA court house getting shot up. I've never seen a layer move so fast! I guess his client didn't feel he got his moneys worth. My cousin lives up at Rancho Cucamonga the fire came close but his home was saved. Thank God your cousin's home was saved. But there are many who aren't so lucky. Let us know if you and Sally head this way... Title: Re: Re: Mexifornia on fire! Post by: Jeff S on October 30, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Mexifornia on fire!, posted by Stephen on Oct 30, 2003
That's right, Stephen - you now have to commute right through the middle of the mess. Hope you didn't miss any important court dates. How's the new place? - Jeff Title: I'm fine Post by: Jeff S on October 30, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Mexifornia on fire!, posted by Humabdos on Oct 29, 2003
No fires within 50 miles of me. While I feel really bad for the loss of property and especially life, the fire will actually be healthy for the wildernesses. We have this environmentalist whacko concept of Bambi and Thumper fleeing in terror from a forest fire, so get a Smokey Bear complex to put out every little fire. Back before white people were here, only Indians, fires wswept through the area often but did very little real damage. They kept the dry brush and undergrowth from accumulating, and were healthy for sprouting new trees. A patchwork quilt of burned and unburned areas made sure that no land woudl be fire free for too many years. Along comes Smokey the Bear, and now we have sagebrush and dry oily undergrowth accumulating for 50 years or more and tremendous numbers of yinder dry dead trees from bark beetle infestations. One little spark and kapow the whole thing goes off like a bomb. I say have off season control burns. As anyone who's been to Yellowstone lately can tell you, the aftermath of the fire is a renewed landscape, much healthier than before. Oops, I forgot, Bush's healthy forest initiative of thinning overgrown trees is just a backroom deal to give favors to evil logging companies so they can steal their filthy lucre off the sweat of working American - What was I thinking????? - Jeff Title: Re: You're fine? Yes, fire can be a good thing! I propose a controlled burn from about Redding to Mexico! LOL We've got plenty of them Californian environmentalist whacko's coming up to Oregon screwing things, up you know the same bleeding heart a-holes who turned CA into Mexifornia. It's funny how just after Bush left Oregon promoting his healthy forest initiative half of the state burned down! Hummmm Title: Thank you Sergio Martinez! Actually, old Sergio said he was deer hunting(?) and got lost. He was crying because he didn't bring any water with him and was thirsty and lost, so he started a fire to signal a sheriff's helicopter. The sheriff rescued him and gave him a ride to his truck where his buddy was waiting for him They wrote him a citation for an illegal fire and let him go. If he is smart, he is somewhere deep in Mexico by now. What a dumbass! They should douse his penis in gasoline and light it off, and then autopsy him while he is still alive, and then... Too bad he didn't just shoot himself! Last I heard they are looking for him. Nine or more people have now died as a result of his stupidity. Hum Title: Colorado too... Post by: Mita on October 29, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Mexifornia on fire!, posted by Humabdos on Oct 29, 2003
there are fires north and south of Denver that just started this afternoon. The Hayman Fire last year was close enough to our little city to make me think of an evacuation plan. |
