Hello to all!!!

I have been to Colombia twice and did not find what I was looking for  ( a sincere woman!!)  and am now considering the hunt for an Asian wife.....my question is ..if this can be answered............ is what city is best and what agency would you recommend?  If I go at Christmas time...I would like to try and establish some corresponence with some ladies before hand.

Any help you guys can provide is greatly appreciated.

Chris,

Everyone gives pretty good advice.  I met my Mahal through Cherry Blossoms chat--and might have been the one who hooked Nox up.  I can't remember if I met him before or after he went to CB--I have several friends who have met very genuine women through CB.  The chat room can really speed things up and Nox is right on about the internet being a definite plus in future communication.  There are insincere women, as well as men, everywhere you go.  Take your time, use your brain, be realistic and you will have the best luck.

I really enjoyed my time in Davao earlier this year.  Lot's of guys here found their honies in Davao.  Something in the water makes the women extrordinary :P  Others can feel free to chime in ;)

Just go. If I where you I would take Peaches up on her offer it's one of the best ways to met a "good" Filipina.

I met my sweetheart and wife through a filipina on Maganak.

Are you really serious in looking for a Filipina/asian wife?  I have 2  
single aunts and about  a dozen nieghbors who are single. Ages
range from 30-70. How about that? How old are you?

You should take Peaches up on this offer.

If you buy names & addresses from a company (which is what I did) then you take a shot in the dark.

Around here Peaches is known by us to be a person of good report.  She can vouch for her friends as to their character.  This is a great way to find a good, reliable lady.

I personally used Cherry Blossoms and was very happy with that. The best part of their service is that they have chatrooms. Once you join you have unlimited access to the chatrooms and e-mail functions. This also means you are getting girls that use the internet, are educated and generally have better English skills.

Like everyplace else, there are some scammers there, but for the $20 a month you are unlimited in how much you can chat and e-mail. I chatted with probaly six to ten girls a day for several months, gradually thinning it down to a regular chat with three or four. Soon after that I found one that I really liked and asked her if she wanted chat exclusively with each other for a while and get to know each other. A year later we have met and are engaged.

As for cities, I don't know if one city is better for potential mates. I was looking in the Philippines so I studied the political situation there and downloaded some maps. I knew if the girl was from Mindanao I wasn't going south-east of Iligan and avoided girls from that area. And just as a matter of personal opinion, I didn't want to go anyplace where I couldn't back to the airport in less than about two hours.

There's no magic pill you can take like guys on the Latin board seem to think. There, if it ain't Cali, it ain't squat. Over here there are no agencies - they're illegal in the PI and just not found in VietNam, Thailand, China, Japan or Korea. There are plenty of address sellers, though, but, based on an informal survey we did a while back only about a fourth of the couples here met by writing from a purchased address. Half met by personal introductions and about a fourth by chance meetings in teh foreign country.

First, you need to decide what you're looking for. Most of the guys say Filipinas are he answer, and they're probably right of you're looking for someone who's christian and speaks English and is willing to accept a wide age difference. To some of us, though, those things aren't necessarily the most important. Give up the first two reqs and you can expand your search to include Viet Nam and Thiland, but of you just want someone who will be a good, devoted wife, all of Asia compromise the happy hunting grounds. On the Asian sweetie web site, that has many of the regulars here and a few occasonal posters, there are sweeties from five different countries, the PI, Japan, China, Viet Nam, and Thailand.

Since the majority of the regulars here are married or at least engaged, If I were in your shoes and wanted to play the odds, I'd introduce myself and see if anyone has any relatives who are looking and see if I could get an intro.

Take your time in your search.
Christmas time is very hectic and more expensive
than most other times if you are going to the Philipines.
