Hi Peter,

I am really enjoying your story! Jimbo is right...you are better than Michael Palin. You should produce a travelogue on the Phillipines. "Peter Lee's Philippines on 110cc's." Please...Keep it coming!

Hey Dave,

You're right, Peter's trip report would make great movie! I like your title. How about "Peter Lee's Philippines on 110cc's and a case of Preparation H"?

I can't wait for the good part. Hell, he's still on the honeymoon and he hasn't even gotten married yet...ROTFLMGDAO!

We don't even know yet if he had to use that Viagra he brought along. Maybe we'll find out in the next episode :-)

Peter,

You're funnier than Michael Palin -ROFL!  "Around the Phils in 54 days with Peter Lee"

I don't think I could have gone across that bridge on a bike.  Maybe I would have gotten a local to drive the bike over and then crawled over on my hands and knees.

Did you really make the cossing to Boracay on a banca, with the bike sitting in the middle?  How big was the boat?

Hi!   Ya i didn't know it was called a banca.  The boat was about 18' long.  What was bad was the ferry wasn't going coz of the bad weather.  We got a lot of waves but we couldn't get much wetter, we were wet from the rain in that storm.  I got pictures if you guys help help me get them on.  I don't know how to get the pictures out to you on the web.  Any one know how to instruct me?

Hi Peter,

There are a bunch of free sites that let you put up picture galleries but I haven't used them; I've always put up a simple page on my ISP space.  Yahoo has one for members, I think.

Somebody will jump in here and help you out, I'm sure.  We want to see that bridge on the road to Kalibo!

Unfortunately the bridge was on my video and it was stolen in the hotel room in Boracay.  But I had digital camera that had about 30 good pictures of the trip.  I am looking foward to anyone that will advise me how to get those pic to you guys.

Catiklan is the place where you hop-in on the boat to get to the Boracay Island so the next time you go there and if we're also home don't forget to stop by & visit us :). Thank you so much for giving me the names I forgot.  Yes I stopped in Nabis.  I went to the West side of Panay, that is where the mountains were and we got deep in the mountains after passing through Antique.  Kalibo is on the East side and I decided that was to easy.  I wanted to go the less traveled route on the West side.  NPA’s were around but noone bothered us, I guess we went through so fast by the time they seen us we were gone.  We could see the mountains coming at us after Antique which has a large sign entrance that said Antique.  Catiklan was our destination but remember we were on the West side in the mountains.  On the way back correct me if I am wrong but Nabis is on the East side.  Nice roads and good bridges.  I remember going thru your town, I remember the school there in town.  It was on the way back after Boracay going back on the East side to Iloilo.  Thanks for the offer to send the pictures I will see what the most practical way to do it tonight.

Hey Jim,

ROFLMAOPIMMFP!!! "Maybe I would have gotten a local to drive the bike over and then crawled over on my hands and knees."

You would have been running after he took off on your bike. LOL I would have gotten my wife to ride the bike over the bridge, then crawled over on my bellie. More likely...she probably would have to tie a rope around my waste and drag me across!  8oO

The tough part was to go over with the most balance you had to keep your speed and relax.  The only way to relax was to say to yourself "it was a good day to die!!!!"  I pretended that I didn't give a dam and relaxed.  I had good balance coz I stared straight ahead.  The very end was bad coz I lost my concentration thinking I was done when I wasn't.

Hi Dave,

You're right, I'd have looked pretty dumb standing there as my bike rode off into the hills -LOL!  I'll have to keep that in mind...

BTW, I'm glad Isabelle didn't get you.

HOLY COW!!!  I just read my email!  So THAT'S where you've been!

Don't need birthcontrol either LOL.  No it takes about 30 kilometers of riding to get your hand down where it counts and pullem up.  Gotta stop do do dat so it's break time.  The trick is you never show what your doing.  I reach down like to straighten up my shirt.  I got real good at it with lots of practice for 2200 k's.  After awhile I got brave and did it while riding.  You got to do it with the left hand coz the right has the gas.  LOL  They should make it part of your test when you get your license.

Well you know hitting a dog may not be bad luck but it could mean the end of any trip.  I learned a new expression while in trafic and almost hitting dogs that I would shout out a few times an hour.  "Holy sh@t"  Maricel would ask what is that?  I told her it was a hole in my underware that had a leak and nothing to do with the Pope.
