Title: Da Trip Page 24 Post by: Peter Lee on September 20, 2003, 04:00:00 AM The next day we went to the Department of Health with 10 zerox copies and I had 5 certified copies made with the registrar’s stamps and signatures on them. The cost was less than 10 peso each. But coming back to the hotel I got scolded by Maricel for losing my cool at the Dept of Justice Building. Maricel was really upset and accused me of being stubborn and un-talk able. You are in the Philippines now Peter adjust to the country. The country will not adjust to you. She was right and I admitted it, but each time I get better. The next day the photographer was there to collect his money for taking the pictures of the civil ceremony. I didn’t pay him the full amount when we got the pictures after the ceremony coz he didn’t have the negatives. The cost of taking pictures was 3000 peso. He was the only photographer there so he had to pay for the privilege I am sure. But we settled for 2000 peso after I got the negative and he was happy.

Hey Peter Lee, About the same thing happened to us with our wedding photos. There was a guy in Cebu taking the pictures at our Civil Ceremony, later he showed up before the reception and said he was told to come to find me at Cebu Marriot and get the P2000 as instructed by my wife's family. Well I gave him the P2000 and he gave me the pictures but not the negatives. Then when I told my wife's family that I paid for the pictures they were shocked and said they never told that guy to get money from me. Anyway the photographer ended up getting fired and we got P1500 back plus the negatives. Live and Learn. |
