I am done making an ass of myself now. I'm not really all that easy to anger, but I do tend to feel attacked even when I am not being attacked. I am also prone to fits of conscience afterward. Thank you everyone who contributed the ideas about low airfare to the Phils. You have helped out IMMENSELY. You guys will probably end up having saved me well over a thousand dollars! As Robin said to Batman upon entering the bowling alley - "Holy Rollers, Batman!". I know, I know, it's dumb. :-) But seriously, thanks a lot. You people are awesome!

I don't think Carrisse meant anything derogatory. Sometimes people skim over posts (like myself sometimes), and when a message is hastily read, words can be missed, and the message distorted. If I know Carrisse correctly, I beleive she values her husband and child above career. She can have a career too, and that's nothing wrong with that. If circumstances ever arose to the point where it was either give to the career or give to the family, the family should take precedence. This principle applies to both men and women. Carrise meant anything derogatory in her statement. One of the first things to overcome in this type of relationship is the tendency to misinterpret things. There is just enough of a language barrier to cause problems, and many problems are caused by these seemingly minor misunderstandings. Peace be with you! Larry. |
