Legal permanent residents of the US may travel to and from Canada without a visa, just the same as US citizens. If she's adjusted her status and has the paperwork to prove it, there should be no problem. Since the K1 visa is a single entry visa, unless her status has been adjusted to permenent resident, it's not Canada you have to worry about, it's getting her back into the US that would be a problem. - Jeff Title: Re: Re: k1 visa question visiting canada from US Post by: mudd on July 11, 2003, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: k1 visa question visiting canada fro..., posted by Jeff S on Jul 11, 2003

She's have to go to the Canadian Embassy or Consulate apply. - Jeff Title: Re: k1 visa question visiting canada from US Post by: Ray on July 11, 2003, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to k1 visa question visiting canada from US, posted by mudd on Jul 11, 2003
I'm not sure about the current visa requirements for Canada, but I guarantee that you if you leave the country on a K-1 visa, you won't get back in. The K-1 is a single-entry visa. After a K-1 marries and files for AOS, an Advance Parole is required to re-enter the country before the permanent residency is approved. Ray |
