Title: I think we can all agree...
Post by: Jeff S on June 21, 2003, 04:00:00 AM
.. that Humabdos' post was highly racist and inflammitory. I checked the reference and no, it wasn't a Rush Limbaugh's quote, nor was it from his web site. It was the demented ramblings of a fringe element on an ultra conservative message board. It should be abundantly clear, especially to the posters here who all are at least interested if not encouraging inter-racial marriages, that this attitude is not shared my the vast majority of Americans - on either side of the political arena.

It also should be obvious a that sniping, out of context, comments about people's political views does nothing to change their minds but does plenty to alienate people from the true purpose of this board - to foster Asian/Western romantic relationships.

Our politics, like our religions should be expressed somewhere else.

... in response to I think we can all agree..., posted by Jeff S on Jun 21, 2003

i think most everyone here has taken his post out of context due to his lacking use of a poorly written poem in the expressing of his completely correct point of view.

In no country in the world can other aliens just enter illegally and receive governement benefits for them and their family as a reward for it.

In no country in the world does a government teach illegals in their own language in schools and bill that countries constituents for it.

In no other country in the world are illegal aliens encourage to particpate in the governement illegally - like voting themselves more benefits.

In no country in the world do they insist that these illegals speak their own language and rename the streets so they can find their way around in that country with no effort on their part.  It is this same stupidity that keeps the illegals ignorant of what is really happening.

In no country in the world are legal or illegal aliens allowed to own property and given free medical benefits.

I wish they would open all the borders to properly documented individividuals who obey the law and wish to be a sharing partner in the responsiblities of society.  I cannot explain to aliens that the job they just took from me for $4/hr is against the law because minimum wage is $5.15/hr and I was making $25/hr so it must be worth a lot more that they are accepting.

The local hospital closed its once world renown maternity ward because illegals would show up to have their babies for free - leaving without so much as a thankyou much less a willingness to pay.  Of course the doctors just had to raise their costs to those who did pay their bills to compensate.

Lets not even talk about the 3,4,5 generation nationals who can't improve themselves because they are automatically assumed to be illegals and not given benefits they deserve for their citizenship and their parrents loyalty to our way of life.

No, I don't agree and I understand his frustration.  If this means I wear a white sheet over my head then someone needs to tell me where the next meeting is so I can add my strengths to theirs.

That one I agree with. I was talking about this one: http://www.planet-love.com/wwwboard/asian/messages/41779.html

I thought the taxpayer one was funny and not off the mark.

I had a Mexican immigrant worker at my comapany ask to get put on our medical plan because he was getting married and planned children. Since he was already at a semi supervisory position, I promoted him to a salaried position, the only ones where you're eligible for company paid HMO.

After a while he asked to go back to hourly since he quit getting paid overtime (even though his salary was calculated to equal his hourly plus usual overtime wage) plus he thought the "free" medical care was better than the HMO (no $10 co-pay plus they don't ask anything about the legal status.) Can you imagine? The welfare medical care is better than the company health plans. Unbelievable!

It's about who is here legally, it's about who is draining our social services. I don't give a damn about what color or race they are. Every time I go to the store I'm in line behind some Mexican who is pregnant and with a one, two and three year old in tow buying her food with food stamps!
When I drive by the bus stops I see line after line of Mexicans kids waiting for the school bus so they can learn in Spanish. Yes, I'll say it again they breed like sweet little kitty cat's in heat. Mr. macho can't wear a condom because the Pope tells him not too!  They have run down our neighborhoods with their junk cars, unkempt yawns, and ill mannered kids who paint up the neighborhood with their gang graffiti. Let's not forget that God awful music that blares out from their window (the one covered with a sheet)
I could go on and on but you know how they are and if you don't you soon will AMERICAN DUMMY!

Your man Randy Lewis did not say anything racist, he told his readers (a condensed paraphrase) 'beware, some people will call you a racist if you subscribe to my teachings'. He then went on to say that some Hispanics are racists (imagine that!) and that some of them would like to take Mexico's lost territory back (and no doubt some of them would).

Bear didn't say anything racist either, he pointed out many legitimate problems that illegal immigrants either cause or exacerbate and how stupid the US is to give in to them...and I agree with almost all of what he said, except darn if I can see why HE needs a sheet.

YOU on the other hand, within your last 3 or 4 posts have used the terms:

---no good wetbacks---rat like breeding habits---breeding like cockroaches---breed like sweet little kitty cat's (sic) in heat---you know how they are---stinking wetback bastards---greasy son of a cheap cantina WHORE BEANER---stinking cockroach bastard---his illiterate, subhuman whore mother---KIKE lawyers---White Americans GET OFF YOUR DEAD ASSES---round up these greasy bastards, shoot the uppity ones---sub-human piece of crap---half animal bastards---their cheap PUTA hooker whore women---

Now maybe some of us aren't as well informed as you apparently like to think you are, can you perhaps enlighten us as to which (if any) of the above terms are NOT racist? Or can you truly not see the difference between the points Mr. Lewis and Bear were making and the hate filled garbage which YOU have been spewing?

Now don't get me wrong, you certainly have every right to be a racist, just don't go around lying about it and thinking people aren't smart enough to see through you, and be prepared for the consequences that you and your views won't be welcomed in certain circles.

You have to go quite a bit farther back in history to find the origins of racism. Remember the story a few thousand years back of the Pharoh and Moses? or maybe tens of thousands of years ago in Europe when the Neandertals and Cro-Magnons were competing for the same game and forage? or maybe a few hundred thousand years before when Australopithicus and Homo Erectus were hiding from preadators in the African veldt? The Japanese didn't invent it - not by a long shot.

I just read on the Latin board a guy living in Costa Rica is ready to leave because the people there are racist against his Colombian wife let alone the Mexicans, Nicaraguans.

Hum just think maybe the reason they are letting all the illegals in is to get a labor force to pay taxes when the baby boomers start to retire. If they don't, the income taxes will be 50% just trying to support SS. I think it is 2035 when there will be only 2 workers for every retired worker. If they don't do something the politicians will lose their cushy jobs if we can't afford to pay their wages.

Hi Ray,

Sorry to interupt your erectus LOL.

I had a question about the DS-230 Part I.   I am not familiar with this form.  Could you enlighten me about it please.  Thanks

Bring a copy of the DS-230 Part I and help her complete it to make sure it’s done correctly. She may need this later for submittal to the embassy.

Bring lots of rubbers if you don’t want children right away. DON’T trust her to take birth control! :-) This was real good advice coz i was going to trust her with birth control.  After your post I re-thought it over and will do as you suggested.   My problem is I may forget what to do on the honeymoon, it has been so long LOL.  Maybe there is a book?  We used the rubbers in Vietnam to carry water back to the camp.  They also kept the socks dry in the rainy season.  They were good for covering skin burns too.

Peter,

Depending on which visa the wife interviews for in Manila, she will need to complete either the DS-230 and/or DS-156. The DS-230 requires more detailed biographic information and can be a little difficult to complete properly, so it would be a good idea to do a rough draft while you are there and then each of you can keep a copy for reference. You can download here:

http://travel.state.gov/visaforms.html

On the birth control thing: if she does get pills, make sure she takes them regularly :-)

Peter, if you can’t remember how to do it, then yes there are books or porno movies that you could use for training purposes for your honeymoon. However, I strongly recommend that you bring along a personal trainer to supervise all lovemaking sessions to make absolutely sure that things get done properly. You can probably find an experienced trainer who will do it for travel expenses alone. I recommend Dave H for the job. If he’s not available for that time slot, then give me a call and maybe I can fit it into my schedule :-)

Ray I am going for the spousal visa after I am married.  When do these forms
the DS-230 and/or DS-156 come into play?  Which one will she be using if it is a spousal visa interview?
I did download the The DS-230 using your provided web site.
Do you have a system on how to keep track of the  birth control pills so I know that she takes them regularly ?  I know this culture is not know for being very organized.   Meeting at special times is also a problem, going to the mall there is never a set goal of what to do or where to go.   So I am afraid the birth control pills will go the same way.
Porno movies would probably scare her right now, best to ease into it one step at a time.

Thanks for strongly recommending a personal trainer but I was thinking of a female trainer.   But since guys don’t like to ask for directions [now I know why lol] I will have to rough it and do the best I can with her by trial and error.

Peter,

There are two spousal visas, the IR-1 and the K-3.

The DS-230 is for the IR-1 and the DS-156 is used with the K-3. The forms are submitted to the embassy at the time of the visa interview.

Forget about the birth control pills, I think it would be too confusing for you. Just use rubbers, it’s easier to keep track of :-)

You won’t need a personal trainer if she reads those Filipino “pocketbooks”. She will already know more than you do (LOL).

Take plenty of pictures of the wedding and especially of the honeymoon, so we can grade your performance after you return :-)

I think that a great deal of people would have reservations about illegal aliens.  Personally, we have laws to follow.  If a person want to come to America, then they can follow the laws of the country.  That goes for Mexicans and Filipinos.  Illegal aliens should be booted out of the country.

But when a group resorts to the use of world like "wetbacks", "bastards", "rat-like Breeding habits" it exposes them as radicals.  (Language such as that should be reserved for the Clintons.)

Such language will drive away people that might otherwise support your general beliefs.

For example:

-You say "Tired of supporting your rat-like breeding habits".

-Instead say, "You know, taxes are just out of control.  Here isn California we have a $38 billion defecit.  We can't afford illegal aliens having children at the county hospital at an average of $6,000 per child.  I'm sure you're good folks who want a better life for your children, and I don't fault you for that.  BUT WE CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY $6,000 FOR EACH BABY YOU WANT TO HAVE.  I can't afford your good intentions.  You'll have to go back to Mexico.  You're Govt. will have to take care of you."

Or:

-You say "Wetback bastards".

-Instead say, "Illegal aliens".  They want to be referred to as "undocumented workers", but they are ILLEGALS.  We should say "If you come here you must obey our laws.  Slipping accross the border is illegal.  You have no respect for our country.  People who don't respect our country wouldn't make good citizens."

These are better examples of language that does not sound mean-spirited.  (Liberals will look for anything to use to call you "mean-spirited."  We don't need to play into their hands.)  You'll get a lot more people to support a cause like that than one whose banner is "KILL THE BASTARDS!.

By the way, Canadians who are here illegally need to be kicked out also.

Just some thoughts.

Stephen

PS....Why don't you post this on the Latin Board also.  I'm sure they would enjoy your poetry and thoughts.

Kim Su (Golden Lion in Chinese) features Dim Sum for lunch. Dim Sum means "heart's delight" but is called "Cantonese breakfast" by most Chinese. Women pushing small carts circulate among the tables, each offering different types of dishes. The steamed food cart usually has things like shu mai, small meat balls wrapped in a noodle-like skin three or four to a serving, ha gao, shrimp wrapped in a rice noodle skin, steamed ribs, etc. The fried food cart has egg rolls, fried won tons, crab cakes, etc., the soups & stews cart has porrage (rice soup) and Tess and my favorite, Chinese spicy tripe, etc. It's fun and tasty sampling from dozens and dozens of different appetizer sized items.

Drop by and give us a hi!

They're all in Alhambra, Monterey Park, and Roland Heights. The downtown Chinatown is mostly Mexican now, with a few old timer Chinese holdouts. Last time I was in downtown LA was to get Mariko's passport renewed and she just rememded me that it's coming up again later this year - so it'll be five years.

I haven't seen my girlfriend in 6 months  call it temporary male hormone insanity, normally I am quiet and nonconfrontational it isn't worth it, life is too short. One more week and I will be with my girlfriend.

I am on month #2 for my K3 visa. It may be a while before I get to see my sweety. I guess I'll need to schedule an appointment with a good psychiatrist before long... hormones are raging!

I know what you mean and the first couple of months were bad for me when I left my girlfriend, especially when you hear her sweet voice over the phone. After two months it was a feeling of numbness because I knew I would only see her in June-July time span but now as it got closer to the time I get more excited and fustrated. It is probably harder on you because you decided to spend your life with a woman but have to wait for papers not knowing exactly when you'll be together. Hopefully it is fast for you those phych's can get expensive and they would mess you up more so don't do it:)

Joe,

When did you file the I-129F for the K-3? A guy on M-A reported that his was approved 9 days after Missouri received it (NAO-1 on 4/28/03).

It seems that K-3's have speeded up considerably in recent months.

I used APEX service and the 129F was sent 6/12. I should hear back soon.

Yes I will be taking a lot of pictures but I am going to Brazil just to let you know. Looking forward to seeing the sites and learning more about the culture. My girlfriend has a car so we can get around easy.

Sorry, I haven't read to many of your other messages.
Are you involved with a Filipina in Brazil or a Brazillian? (sp)? Have you been there before? How about P.I.?

Be safe.
Have fun!

I am involved with a Brazilian but I first met her in Lisbon Portugal, we have written and talked on the phone for almost two years and now I will go for the first time to Brazil. She hasn't been home for nearly two years also so her family will be very happy to see her. Supposedly Sao Paulo has many Japanese immigrants  so there are probably some very beautiful asian women in Brazil. I wanted to look for a woman where I might move someday and now I get to see the country for the first time.

I thought about Asian women but that huge flight scared me away I don't handle being cacooned for long. The flight to Brazil is almost too much but what you do for love. I am happy though because I know my girlfriend doesn't care at all about coming to America she would just assume have me move to Brazil or even Europe. She is from middle class so doesn't need me to take care of her she wants a lifetime relationship.

Nice to meet you and Christine two weekends ago.  Sorry we couldn't stay long though.

There is a MA meet at our house on the 4th, I hope you can and Christine can come over and visit.  I'll post the driving directions at MA yahoogroup.
