Title: Davao Post by: Febtember on March 13, 2003, 05:00:00 AM Mayor Rudy Duterte is a good leader, good example, and best mayor I ever know.Davao people were very lucky to have mayor like him.I really love Davao city and I even prefer to live there than in my island in Bohol. When we hear about Davao city bombing it made us sad.I mention to my husband after the incidents that davao city is the place I prefer to live if we ever plan to move in philippines.I know my husband have no plan to move there, which is fine for me because I like here too.He always claim that filipino food don't agree with his stomach. But I guess I scare him away when I mention to him one time that if we ever move to philippines I want to bring our tractor and combine harvestor there. He know I am serious. He ask me why I want to bring the tractor there he know theres not much big farm ground there to farm and (corals stick out everywhere especially in my island)I answer him back just for a display so some filipino can see what tractor look like:)
I know shipping would be more than the tractor cost. If the economy getting worst I guess we be force to move to philippines. Hey!Hum if someday you see a girl driving a tractor in davao city that would be me. Raquel Title: Re: Hi Raquel! Hi Peaches, How's you doin and your baby.If I'm not wrong you already have 4 months old or 5 now.Do you have any of your husband relatives around who can help you?I know it's not that easy.I have my mother in law here who help me she always came here to help baby sit baby and clean the house.Every afternoon she cook food for me too.Do you have epidural?I have epidural and you know what I suffer bad headache for almost 2 months.(I think this is what they call "bughat" sa atoa)Thanks God it's gone at least last 2 weeks. My husband bring me to the doctor and they just say I have sinus infection and give me antibiotic but it never help.I talk to one filipina in my area who have 8 months old baby and she mention about having headache at first month too.The only medicine help me on my headache is the white flower embrocation.I brought this from philippines. Do you breastfeed your baby?I breastfeed baby matthew and he permanently attach to me whole day.He weigh 14lbs.already. Ray, Belle is right.Since I breastfeed my baby so his permanently attach to me ,so were unseparable. The first month after we came home from hospital I spend 16 hours a day nursing him.We call our baby a bottomless pit and he nurse and nurse till he throw up.We try giving him little bit of formula but it never work for him.Everytime we leave him to his Grandma I pump my milk on my electric breast pump (some of you guys never see this things maybe). Then put it in the bottle but baby don't like the bottle he spit it back.Things getting better now,I get some sleep already.I'm so excited for my baby because he will be having playmate soon. Our nieghbor is pregnant maybe there something in our water here:) raquel Title: Re: Re: Permanently attached? That's a tough job Feb 16 hrs. a day, good thing your getting better everyday. I'm sure it's gonna be so exciting for you to watch your baby grow up, the next day you wake up it's a big kid already and doesn't want to be nurse anymore. Take your time, enjoy being a mother. I can't wait myself to be a mother in the future.... Title: Re: Re: Permanently attached? You know during the war [world war twice] When i was a baby in Germany my mother breast fed me till i grew teeth and she had to stop. There was no milk or eggs all i had was mothers milk. To this day i am convinced it made me strong and healthy. So my 2c worth is that your doing the right thing and you will not regret it. I am also very close to my Mom in my older age. There is something beyond just memories but a feeling of real closeness coz of the long breast feeding. Your letters on this forum is going to get me ready for when my future wife will go thru what your going thru. I know it is not easy to write sometimes but you are helping me understand the filipina's side of it. All I have to give you is THANKS!!!! Title: Re: Re: Re: Permanently attached? NNP, If you could increase two bra sizes with one baby, think of the possible results if you breast feed twins (or triplets?) :-) Ray Title: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Permanently attached? [This message has been edited by Dave H] I got no respect as a baby! All I ever got was a plastic bottle with a rubber nipple! I didn't start breast feeding until i got teeth and grew up. :o))) I lived in the frigid north, probably why I got a bottle. I don't think Mama was about to boil her frozen nipples in that pan. :o))) Babies are spoiled today! When I was a baby we didn't have breast pumps...manual or electric. If we wanted milk, we either had to go open a can or go milk Mama. :o))) Ahh...if only I could be a baby today. ?8o) Dave H. Title: Re: Re: Permanently attached? Maybe it is the water. My company is a fertility clinic also. We have 29 women and never is there a time whan at least one isn't pregnant. Right now there are six. I keep blaming the plant manager and he blames me! :oO Hmmm? Maybe I can charge women having troubles getting pregnant to work here. It'll be cheaper than a doctor and think of all the work I can get out for free! - Jeff Title: Re: Re: Re: Permanently attached?
