Title: God and sex
Post by: chevy on October 25, 2002, 04:00:00 AM
I notice a lot of the women saying they want a "god-fearing" man.
What do they mean by that? Someone who attends church every week?
Also, what is their attitude towards sex before marriage? Do they have the kind of experience of western women? Or are a lot of them still virgins when they marry?

Vicky is a good daughter of the Church and I can truthfully report that the Church keeps its nose out of our bedroom, the buffaloskin rug in front of the fireplace, the sofa, the kitchen table, the hayloft in the barn and wherever else we happen to feel in the mood.

From what I gather, a Catholic woman's role is to please her husband, so long as it does not conflict with the teachings of the Church. Add to that the natural fear of husbandly wandering most Filipinas feel, and they figure that if they keep you worn out, you'll be less likely to stray. Why go out for hamburger when you have steak waiting at home? If you are in bed with them, you are not out with another woman.

As Vicky's mom says; "Love him like a fury at night and feed him first thing in the morning and he will not stray. Do not talk too much until he is well into his breakfast. Those are the secrets of keeping a man."

That is one reason Vickly hates for me to get my own breakfast. That, and the fact that she is sure I am breaking at least two of the Commandments with what I eat for breakfast when left to my own devices. She is sure I am going to poison myself some day by mixing foods that "...have no business being mixed together like flotsam in a flood".

But most Filipinas seem to actually enjoy relations with their husband on a frequent basis. Maybe it is the exotic Pacific Islander blood mixed with the Oriental blood and the Spanish influence of their history, or the feelings of jealousy and insecurity from seeing so many men misbehave in their homeland. Whatever the reason, I'M sure not complaining. ;-)

Not talking too much until well into breakfast- works for me. I do NOT want to talk or hear too much before breakfast...must be a guy thing.

By “God-fearing”, they usually mean someone who believes in God and is a Christian, but not necessarily one who attends church services regularly.

Attitudes towards sex before marriage? That’s an individual thing. A lot of Filipinas get pregnant as teenagers and a lot of them are virgins at 40+. “In general”, they are much more conservative-thinking toward pre-marital sex than in most Western countries. Filipina women probably enjoy sex just as much or more than any other woman on this planet, so I wouldn't worry about their experience level :-)

Hi Chevy,

As for Filipinas:

"God Fearing" - A man who follows The Ten Commandments...especially number 7. "Thou shalt not commit adultery." Most Filipinas take marriage very seriously and  want it to last a lifetime.

Sexual Experience - Many Filipinas save themselves for marriage. Most Filipinos want to marry a virgin bride. It is common to meet older Filipinas who are still virgins and waiting for the right man. Once they find him and marry...look out! The sexual experience of western women would be more likely be found in bargirls.
