Does my length of employment matter when filing for AOS?

Thanks.

I assume that you are talking about the income requirements for the I-864 Affidavit of Support? My understanding is that there is no requirement whatsoever for length of current employment. People lose jobs or switch jobs everyday.

The important thing is that you have an official letter from your current employer stating your position, how long you have worked there, your annual or monthly salary, and whether the job is permanent, etc. You will also need to submit income tax returns and W-2s for the past 3 years.

If your current position is permanent, your income from employment is above the minimum level, and your W-2s show a fairly steady income that is above the cutoff over the past 3 years, you should have no trouble.
