This board is as valuble as the posters make it.  Whether it remains a good resource depends on all of you rather than me.  I simply provide some web space and a little moderating now and then.

I know tempers can flare, and sometimes with good reason, but let's please all try to get along with each other and respond to perceived insults with a rational argument rather than an attack.  Otherwise the place ends up resembling a school yard fight.  For that, I am definitely not providing web space and my time.

It's been so long that I've had to delete any posts on this particular board that I almost forgot the password.  Let's see if we can keep it that way please.

Excellent response.  You remind me of my former school principal.  He always chastized the children in a masterful manner.  I heard about the posts from my wife but did not bother to read them because of their nature. Some board members have run off worthy contributors like Carl/Velma and Jean because of unwarrented unnecessary personal attacks.

I am impressed with your memory and ability to pull up this old post.

I stand by that post but I wish I had stated it more diplomatically.

If you read the profile of the person addressed in the post: He became engaged in 1998 and applied for a visa in 2002 when his fiancee became 18y/o.  18 minus 4 equals 14.  

I do not think it is appropriate for a 28 yo man to date a 14 y/o.  Now I know that he said that she was 16y/o but the facts speak for themselves.  I can not find his profile so forgive me if my calculation are off by a year.

They were engaged in Feb 1999 when she was 15 y/o and he was 31 according to the information DavidWT provided.  She was 14 y/o when he started to write to her but he said she was 16 y/o but the time line that he gave puts her age at 14y/o.  As they said on Dragnet, "only the facts, Sir".  The Vietnamese gov't should have put him in jail for dating a 15 y/o.
