Hey Wild Bill, just returned from a wonderful five weeks traveling thru-out Ukraine. We had our own large bus thru much of the trip and I think many times when we stopped in some of the smaller cities of Ukraine for lunch or to replenish whatever the guys were drinking, we were the first group of foreigeners that many of these townspeople had seen. We were greeted warmly everywhere we went. WildBill I have about 120 rolls of film and have just gotten the first 18 rolls developed with another 21 rolls waiting for me to go and pick-up. It will probably take another week to 10 days to get all the film developed. I made the mistake a couple of years ago in turning in about 90 rolls at once and a couple of rolls got lost so now I only turn in about 20 rolls at a time in hopes none of the rolls will be lost. Once I get all the film back I will then scan the best photos, choosing which one's to add to the website and to send to the guys attending. This year I am going to add an additional section of photos. In each of the cities we visited this year I went to the center of the cities, or popular parks, and took photos of some of the more outstanding ladies of Kharkov, Lugansk, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kherson, Odessa, Chernvisti and Kiev. I expect to have the photos of the parties and ladies on site in about a month. Have started prepartion for our Spring 2005 tour which will begin about May 13th in Kharkov and from their we will go to Lugansk (a goldmine of beautiful, sincere ladies), Dnepropetrovsk, Krivoy Rog (another goldmine), Zaporozhye, Kherson, Nikolaev, Odessa, Chernvisti, Kiev and St. Petersburg. ...speak Australian: An American becomes lost while in the Australian bush, way out in the middle of nowhere. He passes out from the heat and lack of water. After what seems like an eternity he wakes up in a bush clinic, bandaged from head to foot. A nurse approaches him as he lay in his cot... "Did I come here to die?" he asks? "No" the nurse replies, "You came here yesterday." (insert rimshot)
So Lugansk is now a "goldmine of beautiful, sincere ladies"? My, how times have changed eh? ;) It's still full of scammers and not the faint of heart (or wallet) but I suppose if a guy goes there with you he'll be OK. I just came back from the Karelia Republic, up around the White Sea. The area around Petrozavodsk to be exact. Know the place? Or is that too far off the beaten track for FD? Nice pickins if you like well educated country gals starving for attention. No agencies that I'm aware of but I don't use them so I didn't really check. You may want to expand up that way, it's still a big country. Damn cold in places though... [This message has been edited by LP] ...it's just opposite the Black Sea and south of the Red Sea. Or is that the North Sea? We're no longer in Kansas Toto, that's for sure. Seriously, in the time it took you to ask me that question you could've Googled any one of the places I mentioned and found out all you wanted to know. I keep telling you, the internet is so much more than a global pornography network. And before you start frothing at the mouth cuz I mentioned country girls you'd better remember they aren't fools just because they live up north. Much of that area is populated by military families and seagoing ship types. It's where Russia's nuclear icebreakers work out of. These are tough and intelligent folks, even among Russians. Not exactly people you want to treat as hayseeds. Title: Hayseeds... Post by: wsbill on October 22, 2004, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Come on Bill...., posted by LP on Oct 21, 2004
What were you doin there? On a secret mission ? Break out the photo album, lets take a look at some of them honey's... Title: Re: Hayseeds... Post by: LP on October 25, 2004, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Hayseeds..., posted by wsbill on Oct 22, 2004
[This message has been edited by LP] I don't "do" trip reports Bill, you know I don't run with the pack. Mission? I've never been on a mission (secret or otherwise) during any of my jaunts, certainly not the mission of most. Nor do I take photos of "honeys" to exhibit, I've always found that to be powerful strange behavior. Such pix have no real value and once a photo is on the net it's out there forever and anything can be done with it. (Just ask a certain individual here). I've no right to expose a woman to that kind of risk. I could offer up a pic of one quite fetching lass but for now I'm keeping her to myself. Title: Re: Re: Hayseeds... ...Which rule is that? If you mean about photos I was a newbie then. If you mean currently, I'm breaking some of them left and right. No way I'm gonna spill the beans at this point, I'd be hung out to dry ;) Title: Re: Re: Re: Re: Hayseeds... No prob, I was just ribbing ya. You know, it is critical to be wise in all relations with FSUW, but sometimes the soul needs to just throw caution to the wind and have some fun. Nothing wrong with that! If our visa rules were more liberal it would make things a lot easier. Please post a few more things about the far north Russia. I am interested to hear about what it looks like, geography, weather, towns, people, etc. How do the folks in the north compare to say folks in Moscow or can you tell a difference? [This message has been edited by LP] You were ribbing me? You? Nah! ;) Here's a few tidbits: Karelia is an autonomous republic, the capital is clean but seems stuck in time. More "Soviet" than other places I've been. Infrastruture poor, lousy phone service, ect. Can't call outside the city from aboard. One western style hotel in town, not too bad. I found some of that American "celebrity" thing still going on that's faded in the metro areas (I tell ya, I could get used to that). Nice terrain, rugged in places. Lots of forest and lakes. I'm told there are 20,000 lakes and over 10,000 rivers in that part of Russia alone. Hard to believe, maybe they were ribbing me ;) Climate is more moderate than you'd expect due to some kind of warming influence from the sea. (Some ocean current or something, I dunno). Short summers and long winters but I'm told it's not the deathly cold in the dead of winter you can expect a bit further south. (It was already cold enough for this guy however, I die below 40F). People? Like everywhere except Lostcow or St Pete. More military types around. It's an area that still has a few "closed" settlements (like around Tomsk) due to some kinda hush hush gum'mint business. One of the girls I met works and lives in one of these so I had to stay in the city while she came out to see me. (An excuse to get the Yank to buy dinner me thinks). In my opinion Moscow is a poor yardstick when comparing most parts of Russia because it's so different. It has more wealth and is much more progressive (as progressive as Russia can be these days). But I'm no expert, I've more experience in Ukraine. They were nice enough folks though, same as most. Open once you get to know them, friendly, curious about us. Think provincial. Finland is close by so there is genetic (and historic) overlap. You know, lots of blonde, blue eyed. Best way to get there is via Helsinki. Plenty of nice women about but all bundled up for the winter. None of that springtime in Moscow or Kyiv stuff where it can make your diapers damp just lookin at 'em. Ah well, just makes unwrapping 'em more fun. To paraphrase the old Beach Boys song: "I like the northern girls and the way they kiss to keep their boyfriends warm at night, I just wish they all could be California girls". Well, one just might be...we'll see.

[This message has been edited by JohnL] Hey LP, Ya know what ...... Y'ar a bit like old 'Spank' himself ..... too clever for his own good ;) But, appreciated your experience up there, and sharing it with us 'stone age men' ..... I thought you, above all would be able to figure out that MET phenomana and perhaps fill us in. I have no clue; but it sounds like my country (warmer). Better than trying to enter from S of Vlad (from the big C) and being harrassed with those hollow ended back scratchers. The old gaurd still stands tall on the border, no one told ME. Stiff, go home ! And I did, happily. And, one more thing, Y'ar still circling offshore Bro ! What are Y'a going to think if you are ever confronted with that 'smokin hole' ? I think about it sometimes, especially in the big new YAK with four bum spots (as opposed to our old 52). Another YAK .... :-((((( I think its time to quit, or just help with the re-paints ! Take care Title: Re: Fascinating - Txs Post by: LP on October 29, 2004, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Fascinating - Txs, posted by JohnL on Oct 29, 2004
[This message has been edited by LP] Good 'ol Spank the Monkey...I often wonder what became of him. I need to fathom MET phenomena? This coming from a people who refer to cold WX as "pearl harbor"? ;) Hey, I'm an aviator (dam*it), not a sailor. And I don't deal with Russkie WX if I can help it, the chix are tough enough to figure out. Still having Yak Attacks eh? Lose that old piston pounder and get yerself an L39. If yer gonna circle you might as well be going nowhere real fast and, while it may be a smokin' hole in the form of a lawn dart, you'll have to get your grin surgically removed everytime you climb outta it. Lol, too bad it's the same with the frown when the bills come due... |
