Title: New avenue from FSU to Canada Post by: romachko on May 30, 2004, 04:00:00 AM Canada accepts new immigrants, who are willing to serve 2 or 3 years (I don’t recall which) as a helper at a nursery house for senior citizens. After the immigrant has fulfilled his/her obligation, he/she is free to select a job of his/her choice. Practically all those who come to Canada under this category are currently Phillipinos/Phillipinas. They have advantage of having English as their official language together with Tagalog but the system is open to anyone who can speak English or French (Quebec only). There are so many Russians and Ukrainians, who wish to come to North America. I wonder why they don’t take advantage of this system. Or, they don’t know it?
