Title: another ukranian visa ??? Post by: keithandkatya on April 22, 2004, 04:00:00 AM I have a couple more questions about the ukranian visa... The last time I applied for a visa for my trip in 2001 I was told by the board that I did not need an invitation...and I did not have my wife make an invitation as I recall anyway... now as I am filling out the visa form it asks who makes the invitation... I am putting her parents but the Question is... do they have to do any paperwork over there for me or is the form I am filling out the end of it... the paperwork that is..
2nd question... we probaly will not be going again for another year so what is the best advice a single entry or multiple entrys... I have heard about getting a visa and not having to get another one for a several years- is that the multiple visa? and does it apply to private invitations? thanks, Keith Title: Things are Changing . . . Post by: Dan on April 22, 2004, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to another ukranian visa ???, posted by keithandkatya on Apr 22, 2004
It used to be the Private visa (and Tourist visa) was good for a maximum of 6 months and 2 entries. That has changed. The maximum period for Private visa is now 5 years and a Private visa can also now be issued for multiple (unlimited number) entries. For citizens of North America (and most EU countries and a few others) there is NO invitation required for a Private visa. Officially, there is no invitation required for a Business visa, though it is still common for the Ukrainian authorities to request one. Tourist visa requires an invitation. I hope this helps. - Dan |
