If I am sending recent pay stubs, most recent tax return and bank and brokerage statements,  must I also provide my fiancee with Affidavit of Support I-134 ?

If interview is in Kiev  you do not need the I-134. The only thing the lady looked at was the last 3 years tax returns, the free ones you get from IRS, and then she gave me back everything I had given her. The main thing is if you want it to be easy and stress free GO TO THE INTERVIEW WITH YOUr LADY.The whole interview part only took5,minutes because I was there.

I have a few questions. Since you have a recent experience, you could help me a lot and I would much appreciate it.

(1) My fiancee doesn't speak English very well. She gets qute nervous to be asked question by someone she doesn't know well. Can I translate her broken English to English that the interviewer can understand? Or, am I supposed to keep my mouth shut?
(2) How soon did your fiancee have to enter the U.S.? What was the duration of days before the K1 visa expired from the date of issuance if your fiancee did not enter the U.S.? Some people tell me that the girl has five months to get prepared to come to the U.S. but my fiancee hears rumor that she has to come here within 2 weeks, which seems to me too short.
(3) About tax return: How about tax year 2003? Quite often I file automatic extention. I wonder if it is acceptable. For the previous years, are my own copies accepted or do you have to present the cancelled checks by IRS?

She will have to answer herself but it can be in Russian or english. The visa is good for 6 months  but you must be married within  days of entering US, so she could wait 5 months and a few weeks to arrive and you would have to get married in a few days so as to not pass the 6 month visa date. Just go to the IRS web site and order the free "transcripts" for the last three year you have filed. They will arrive in about a week or days.

I received NOA, notifying me of the approval of the petition. I have not received the notification letter informing me that the petition is sent to Kiev but I would like to get prepared well in advance. I would appreciate if you could help me.
(1) What am I required to send her?
(2) I plan to go to her interview. Is there anything I am supposed, or recommended, to take with me?

Go to the Kiev Embassy websight and down load the "packet3" forms. There is a form KEV-1 that is a check list of everything you will need, most of the items are from her. If you are going, which i recommend, you can just take your financial stuff with you when you go. Other than that it is very simple just go by the list.

I-134 depends on whether your fiancee is from Ukraine or Russia.  For Russia, the Embassy says....

Financial documentation from the petitioner may include but is not limited to employment letter for the petitioner with salary information and/or a copy of tax returns (Form 1040) for the last year, bank statement, W-2s. I-134 Affidavit of Support is not required but may be requested by a consular officer.
