Anyways after spending about 6 years looking for the right CIS women I found the right woman in Volgograd. She arrived on the last day of August on a K-1 visa, and we got married in September. We have filed papers with USCIS for adjustment of status within the required 90 days, but I don't expect we will have an interview until Spring 2005 for a temporary green card. Although I have been able to get her a social security number and open a joint bank account, the DMV of the state of Virginia claims that she has not established residence in Virginia. The VA DMV changed some of its policies starting January 2004. Has anyone else had a similar problem ?
