Title: visa requirements for ukraine Post by: keithandkatya on February 22, 2004, 05:00:00 AM Hello,
I am planning a return visit to Ukraine in the near future to see my inlaws...It has been almost 3 years since I have been there. The last time I used the Chicago embassy...Dan provided me with the information at the time. My questions... do you still need a visa? Does anyone have the addresses? I am not sure I will be able to find it- and perhaps it has changed in 3 years as well... thanks, Keith Title: Still Pretty Much The Same . . . Keith, Not much has changed. If you are flying directly into Simferopol or Odesa, there is now the possibility of getting a visa (for a very short-term stay) upon entry into Ukraine. That is NOT available flying into Kyiv. There is also the possibility to get a longer-term (up to 5 years) multiple-entry visa without it being a business visa. My daughter was granted a 'P-2' classification visa good for 5 years. My suggestion is to ask for the multiple-entry 5-year visa. If they don't grant it, you aren't out anything for having asked. The Chicago Consulate address and other information is available at this website -- http://www.ukrchicago.com/. If you have any specific questions - just ask. - Dan Title: Re: Still Pretty Much The Same . . .
