Title: Tax records for K1 Visa Interview? Post by: Zoidberg on January 26, 2004, 05:00:00 AM Hey guys... We are getting closer to K1 Visa approval from the California Service Center and I had a question about the tax forms I need to provide.
I have been filing by phone or online for the past so many years so I just have the copies filled in by me along with the confirmation #'s. I assume that will not do for the interview. I looked on the IRS site and I can get TRANSCRIPTS of my tax forms for whatever years I want. Will those work for the interview or is there something else I'd need. I already have other things I am taking but also wanted to bring my current and last years tax returns. Thanks! P.S. BTW, any new people using the CSC, good luck. When we submitted ours it was supposed to be 60 - 110 days on the form. It has now been 170 days and our date is still a month away from what they are processing now. Yes the free transcripts you get work fine. In fact, that was the only financial info the interviewer looked at during our interview in Dec in Kiev. She also handed me back every bit of info including the transcripts......they kept no info at all with regard to support. Larry Title: Thanks for the help... Thanks Larry for the quick answers to my questions. I figured the taxes will probably be the best things for them to look at. I also will bring my most recent paystubs and payrecords showing how long I've worked for this company. How did the interview go for your fiancee? Glad you were able to be there with her for the interview. It's good for support so I plan to go as well to be with her. I've heard people bringing all their letters and things, did you do the same? I know we have to establish the relationship but I do not want to share our letters with anyone. Much of it is personal. They can't question our meeting since I'll be there with her. I will also print out my hundred or so $50 phonecard receipts. Z Title: Re: Thanks for the help... More Details for you Post by: exlabman on January 28, 2004, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Thanks for the help... , posted by Zoidberg on Jan 27, 2004
Well here is more detail...... 1. The entrance is in sort of an alley, the taxi will know where it is and it was a $4 taxi ride from center of Kiev. Good luck and have fun. Larry |
