Title: AOS Question Post by: AllenB on January 04, 2004, 05:00:00 AM Hey guys, I brought Anna back her on 6/6/2003 and the I-551 date stamped in her passport shows "valid until 05 Jun 2004" while her green card shows "Card Expires 6/6/2005". I am planning to take her to see her family and then vacation for a month this August in Ukraine.
Did I miss something or should her passport I-551 expiration show 6/6/05 also. I think I need to take her and the passport to the Chicago USCIS office in Chicago for correction. Any comments, recommendations, etc? Title: Re: AOS Question Post by: Stevo on January 05, 2004, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to AOS Question, posted by AllenB on Jan 4, 2004
It's correct the way it is. They stamp her passport good for 1 year while waiting for the green card, then the card itself is good for 2 years. Stevo Title: Re: Re: AOS Question Post by: AllenB on January 05, 2004, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: AOS Question, posted by Stevo on Jan 5, 2004
Now that I look at it more closely I do see that it is a temorary green card. Thanks for your help. Title: Re: AOS Question Post by: KenC on January 04, 2004, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to AOS Question, posted by AllenB on Jan 4, 2004
