Title: International DL and driving in Ukraine Post by: JaH on June 17, 2003, 04:00:00 AM I see conflicting ideas on different web sites. Anyone have experience? Is the International Driving Permit recognized in Ukraine?

Like the others said, yes, it's recognized. I toured around half of Ukraine last summer, renting a car in Kiev. If you check out the archives, you will see a thread written around late August or maybe September of last year. I really can't remember all the details, so feel free to check out that thread. Yes it is however if you're thinking about renting a car good luck. I can speak only for the Crimea in that they don't rent cars to foreigners. I don't know about Kiev.
