Title: How about the RW (married or not) thoughts Post by: BURKE89 on April 14, 2003, 04:00:00 AM on North Korea?
That's a fun-bucket, for sure. Many angles - how many thoughts? Title: Re: How about the RW (married or not) thoughts Post by: DanM on April 14, 2003, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to How about the RW (married or not) though..., posted by BURKE89 on Apr 14, 2003
An interesting side note. My wife talks to her parents once a week. Last week she said her father was commenting on the news coverage of the war within Russia. He said that while Putin and Bush were a little tense, Russians only received war coverage from Russian news media and AL-Jazeera. He said that once Bush and Putin thawed a little, the Russians started to get more news from BBC, CNN, Fox, etc. Makes me wonder if these guys disapproved at least partially because they are being kept from one side of the story. Food for thought. Just because people disapprove of us, it does not necessarily mean they are well informed. Title: You're correct... at least, in regard to balance. DanM, what does your wife or you, for that matter, think of our dealings with lil' Kim Jong - in a Russian context, of course? Eric Margolis wrote a brilliant piece on the subject a few weeks back. Title: Re: You're correct... My wife seems to think the Koreans are a little nuts. Ditto for me. Its good, however, to see them backing off as things calm down in Iraq. I am outta here in a few weeks then I start my battle to conquer the hearts and minds of some RW with my weapons of mass seduction. Their gas mask wouldn’t resist my pheromones assault and my biological agent would make you writhe in ecstasies. My nerve gas brings out goose bumps and sends shivers down your spine. When you are frothing at the mouth and your tongue is hanging out, you know there’s no antidote …..the love bug is killing you slowly with his song. Bush and Putin came out from adjacent doors and got together.

That's, too dammned clever, and potentially (75 years down the road) true. Get home safe, to fully utilize those verbal skills upon unsuspecting women in Mother Russia. I’ve got 9 MRE in my rucksack. Shelf life: A minimum of three years stored at 80 degrees Nutritional Information: 13 percent protein, 36 percent fat and 51 percent carbohydrate Heating Time: 10-15 minutes 24 Main Entrees: beefsteak with mushrooms, pork ribs, beef ravioli, country captain chicken, chicken breast, chicken with Thai sauce, chicken with salsa, beef patty, beef stew, chili and macaroni, pasta with vegetables in tomato sauce, black bean and rice burrito, cheese tortellini, manicotti with vegetables, beef enchiladas, chicken with noodles, beef teriyaki, turkey breast with gravy and potatoes, roast beef, spaghetti with meat sauce, chicken tetrazzini, jambalaya, chicken with cavatelli and meatloaf. What’s this about extra steps to compensate your balance on a ship? Might be handy sometime. I’ve got Internet access via satellite, pretty good except for heavy traffic. Most units have a portable DVD player so we gather around and watch. My Canon powershot G2 4megapixel stopped working after 3 day…probably got sand into it. Title: Re: Canon G2 . . . Nice camera. Too bad about the sand. When you look for a replacement, you might want to consider Canon's latest D-SLR model - the D10. Excellent reviews and not all that much more expensive than the G2 replacement (the G3). Hope to see you back stateside soon now. Take care, - Dan Title: Re: This is the digital camera I have.. NIKON 950 Post by: wsbill on April 15, 2003, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Canon G2 . . ., posted by Dan on Apr 15, 2003
I got it in 2000 and I have not had a problem with it since. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT .... Since Nikon discontinue the model, I would venture to say there are probably some brand new models still in the box for sale, at a heavily discounted price. The cameras' unique shape is very handy and one would think it would break in two... but it's made very well. It's a 2.5 megapixel camera, the highest resolution pictures will take up about 900k which is idea, as a photo that takes up too much memory is like overkill and won't be noticed. I took it with me to the First Jack Social in April 2001 and the only problem I had was the cafe was too dark and peoples movements were too fast for the camera to capture - hence the on board flash isn't that great. But I pretty much feel all digital cameras are going to have this problem with lagtime. I have found that if you turn off the flash in dim setting, a take a picture the camera will compensate for this and will yield a great picture...so some of you guys with digital camera should check this out with your cameras. Also with this digital camera you have to get some MiNH batteries, don't for get a battery charger and special transformer with plug for Eastern Europe!! The beauty about the camera is that you can look down while holding it and point the lense at say a pretty girl in a crowd and they won't think your looking at them... but I know I did get some long looks while standing at the Metro area/McDonalds Metro in Kiev.. From the reviews I'm reading about some of the current Nikon cameras of this unique design shape, is that they're junk.. Which is surprising, since the Nikon name is all about quality,,, maybe they want people to buy those really expensive models. But if this on dies, I'm definately going to find another one...and I'm sure it's will be a helluva lot cheaper than what I paid for it. Here is a review.. "Weapons of Mass Seduction" That's great! Is it original? Mind if I steal it? I hope you're back on your RW Mission soon, Warrior... Thanks for taking time off from it to keep Democracy safe... Hehehe... well, you're more than welcome to it :-) But I would say that it was more clever than Romantic... (and I have never staked any claims to clever :-) Title: Wife says: "Bunch of monkeys!"
