Greetings to everyone at planet love.  I am sorry that I have not really been following the board for quite a while, since we are now in the adjustment of status waiting part.  It is such a relief to be thru with filing the petition, having the interview, and filing for AOS, that I took a break from much internet surfing.  I don't know how much the Mrs. has told about our story.  My story starts with my brother.  He went to Phils. in June 2000, to marry a gal from Leyte.  Upon returning home, he tried convincing me to correspond with filipinas.  I received several of the newsletters such as  Pacific Romance, but did not see a woman in them that struck me as "the One".  So I decided to place my profile in 3 newsletters that circulated in Phils., and see what kind of women wrote.  For occupation, I put down "farm laborer", with the hope that gold diggers would stay far away as possible.   Mrs Feb. did say that she was ridiculed by various friends for writing me, instead of a doctor, or lawyer.  They envisioned her out in the fields with a baby strapped to her back, and carrying a sack of corn on her head.  We still laugh about her friends.  They wrote to the doctors and lawyers, but received no responses.   Mrs. Feb. miraculously received the issue of Pacific Romance with my profile in it.  To this day, she does not know who would have sent it to her. It came to the place where she used to work.  Her sister in law happened to see it laying there, and brought it home for her.  Anyway,  she was the one to write to me first.  She thought just from my profile, I was the one she wanted to marry.  I received her letter around the end of October 2000, and we started corresponding via email.  I went to visit her in Feb 2001, and we got engaged Feb 27 (after her mother's approval, of course)  She arrived in the US July 14, we were married Sept 8, and now Baby Maria Raquel (or possibly Matthew James) is on the way.  Life is good!  There are so many miraculous happenings with our meeting and marriage, that just amaze us.  Her receiving the magazine with my profile is one.  If she had not put down her email address in her first letter, I probably would not have started corresponding with her.  I kept thinking all the time that corresponding with a filipina is a waste of time since I thought I would never, ever, in a million years, have the courage to fly to the Philippines to meet someone.  The farthest from the US I had ever been was a couple miles up into Canada.  And then I go to the Phils. twice in one year.  I was planning on having some surgery in January, but decided to consult with another doctor in St Louis.  If I hadn't done that, I would be recovering from surgery now, and Raquel would not be pregnant.  It is amazing how things work out. So that is the short version of our story.  Now, I had better get busy this morning getting some field equipment ready for planting season.  We have snow on the ground now, so it is hard to think that planting season is only a couple weeks away.  I actually farm with Case tractors, and one old Steiger.  (Poor people have poor ways!)  The steiger has a nice sound to it. A straight pipe on it lets all the neighbors know when I am out in the field.  My John Deeres are model 60's built around 1954, so they are just antiques I just like for playing with.  But they are ideal for teaching Mrs. Feb.  tractor driving.  I have a 1960 John Deere pull type combine just like my dad had when I was little, that I plan on using to cut some wheat this summer.  Maybe I can get Mrs. Feb back running the baler this summer. Take care everyone, Mr Feb

Raquel has told us some of the other half. It's fascinating how life takes us on adventures at times, but only if we're willing to keep our eyes open for the opportunities.

Hi Mr.Feb,
I liked your story, it's great to see a regular
guy like yourself to find a wife like Feb.
and  it's neice to hear from Feb on the board she seems
happy and content. She talks alot of positive issues
when she posts. I myself was a former merchant seamen and I have been lucky.  And plan to celebrated my twenty years
of marriage in July.  I also have a eighteen old boy, and a girl
at aged fifteen. Well the best of luck to you and your wife
and the upcoming baby.  Keep the faith
