DaveH, the Missouri Nurse's board told me yesterday that Juliet would have to take CGFNS test. However, they also said she could get her Florida's License and transfer it to MO. Another hoop to jump thru,,,,another Fish to fry......a window of opportunity......light at the end of the tunnel,,,lol,,you get my drift,,,, steveb PS,,,,we say it's colder than a witches t,t here Title: I get your drift... Hey Steve, Just going with the flow myself. ;o) Lifetime nursing license is now available in the Philippines. I say "It's colder than a witches tit" also...fortunately, my wife thinks that 'tit' is an abbreviation for 'Tito.' ;oD Dave H. Title: Very strange... Hi Steve, I looked at their website and don't think the Missouri Nurse's Board knows what they are talking about. It looks like they have things bass-asswards. The CGFNS is for foreign educated nurses wishing to come to the US on a work related visa. Not for those that come here on marriage related visas. However, she will the need the CGFNS Full Education Course-by-Course Report. The following is from the CGFNS website: "Q. I am a foreign healthcare worker who is obtaining permanent resident status based on my relationship (e.g. spouse or dependent) to a U.S. citizen. Do I need to obtain a certification? Good Luck...it might be easier to come to Florida and take the NCLEX, than to convince those boneheads that they are doing it all wrong. Perhaps you can get them to check the CGFNS website for themselves, rather than assuming all foreign educated nurses must follow the same procedures. Dave H. Title: Re: Very strange... Hi Steve, I think you're right about the Missouri board! LOL Well, the good thing is that Juliet can work in Florida anytime you get ready to retire. ;o) I've been able to check out a variety of NCLEX review books at the county library for Marife. Most have CD's with test questions. Dave H. Title: Re: Re: Re: Nurse's Post by: William on March 29, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Re: Nurse's, posted by SteveB on Mar 29, 2002

Cram materials and review aids for NCLEX exams (U.S.) can be obtained here: http://www.nursesstationcatalog.com/books/ The catalog itself has a lot of interesting gifts for the medical types. Hi William, That's a very nice site. I have been checking out a variety of NCLEX review books from the local library. Most work better than sleeping pills for me. My wife is more dedicated. I prefer the books with pictures. ;o))) Dave H. |
