I am asking you guys to please stop the personal attacks on each other.  I respect and appreciate both of your opinions even if I do not always agree.  Just drop the attacks - maybe if you would just not respond to a post by one another it would solve the problem.  Could you both agree to do that??

Hey, why don't you just  try this and see what happens - just for the heck of it. . Anytime you disagree with Oscar just call him on it without any name calling. You got your point accross. Let us see how Oscar deals with that approach.

This WHOLE thing started because a guy asked ME personally a simple question..  He asked "What do I do next"?  I asked him "what did you include with your petition"?  And of course now Dan says I was ignoring the guy, unwilling to answer etc.. LOL!  It's just so ridiculous it's laughable!
Then he must start with the childish name calling, just like an angry little child on the playground, it's just amazing!  
So no, in answer to your question, he CANNOT stop..

Oscar, you seem to believe you because you are engaged and going through the visa process that you have become the all-knowing expert.  Dan's initial comments regarding the sfcolorado post were factual and non-argumentative, but you took them personally like a kid on the playground and stoked the flames.  And, again, you took it upon yourself to post Jack's return.  Who empowered you to do that, particularly since everyone can read?   As my posts below reflect, I don't approve of Dan's rhetoric, particularly his latest babbling in Russian, but you need to try a little restraint and discretion in your posting, and maybe things will quiet down.  We're all looking forward to Thanksgiving - only 19 days away! - and truly hope that you will be able to happily go forward with your life.  In the interim, as I and many others have asked, PLEASE STOP.

Where do I say I am the "expert"?  Where Charles?  I post what I am currently experiencing with my visa process to help others currently going through the process as others have helped me.  Why does that make me some kind of bad guy??  I said very nicely to Dan that I do not agree with all that he says on the subject and realize he does not agree with me.  I said rarely are these things black and white and that perhaps we should just agree to disagree..  But that is not good enough for Dan.  So he launches into his attacks and name-calling BS..  

His comments were "Non-argumentative"?  Colorado asked me what he should do next.  My reply was to seek information by simply asking "what did you include with your original petition" as this would help me to know where he needs to go from there..  Dan comes in and tells me that I am withholding information from the guy!  Unwilling to help him! LOL! Please, give me a break!  Don't tell me Dan is innocent in this, because it is simply not true..

Dan and I go way back not respecting each other here and this is mere carry over for him.  I can easily let things go, he cannot.  He will use every opportunity to take cheap shots and name-call.  Mark was the last one he forced off the board with his complete BS..  Do you not remember that either?

And again, please help me understand why saying "Welcome back Jack" was a criminal offence??  Can you help me out here because I am completely at a loss!  Who "empowered me" to welcome Jack back??  All I said was "Welcome back Jack" and this is what comes of it???  Jack has helped me a lot Charles and I completely fail to understand why it is subversive to welcome someone back to the board who has been away..  What on earth am I missing here?

To briefly respond, Oscar:
1.  "The expert" - you jump on every question about a visa  when you haven't even gotten your visa yet, and as I noted below, you're doing it by going against the published policy of the embassy.  Don't be surprised if you get jumped as Dan pointed out in his nonargumentative sf colorado post.  If everyone telephoned like you suggest, the process would be delayed for all, and if a letter gets lost from the Embassy, which happenned twice in my case, the e-mail provides a backup that prevents any delay.  You've bragged about having your fiance here before Thanksgiving -- many folks track their process, but in the time I have been on this board I have never seen a Joe Namath boast like that.  You may, like Joe Willie, make good on your boast, but you're doing in a manner that may hurt others down the road.

2.  Dan's response to your sFcolorado post.  Before I wrote my post I read Dan's detailed response to your post.  It (surprisingly!) contained no invective or cheap shots, but you just assumed it did and starting another brawl.  Who is it who really can't control himself.  Wouldn't it be better to walk away or ignore a Danny blast or two and take the high ground.  If Dan can't stop, maybe you can show us that you can.  After all, she'll be here in 18 days.

3.  The Jack post was not criminal,but it showed a lack of class on your part, as several of the responses to this post pointed out.  If you really wanted to welcome Jack back, that was not the place to do it.  It really looked like self-aggrandisement, given everything else I've read IMHO.

BTW, unlike yourself, I have no desire to monitor the board on a 24 hour basis.  I notice that despite several negative posts from you to me and others, there is not a single one from Dan today, although I note he did log on.  He's gotten the message (at least for one day).  Let's see if you can do the same.

Well, you are just plain WRONG Charles..  Never once have I "bragged" about having my girl here by Thanksgiving!  I think this is where rumors get started and I sure don't appreciate it.  I have often said I would love to HAVE her here for Thanksgiving, but NEVER have I said she would be here on ANY date!

Regarding my starting a brawl with Dan, sorry but I responded to HIS condescending manner, something I guess you don't consider a problem, I do.

I really don't have any desire to ruin the board Charles, but it would be nice to have someone like yourself look at things from a little more objective viewpoint.  I do not think this is possible from what you have written, so I won't expect it..

Here's the problem - when I see information from Oscar posted that I *know* to be inaccurate, I feel the need to set it straight. For that matter, the same applies to other posters and has been true on the entire time I've been on the board.

In the case below, Oscar betrays one of his underlying values that leads to many of the problems we witness.

Oscar says in a recent post, "I was asked a simple question by a guy who just got approved. Should I just tell him to take a hike?"

Taking the first part of the first sentence - Oscar is so full of himself that he honestly believes that a post on a public board was directed exclusively at HIM! It is a glimpse into his arrogance and piety.

In the second sentence, he poses a rhetorical questions - and yet, the truth is - he may as well have told the guy to take a hike because he NEVER ANSWERED THE QUESTION!

Hockeyguy, I wish I could agree not to answer any of Oscar's posts - but I cannot let misinformation that could be damaging to the guys in this pursuit let go unchecked.

I would also like the personal attacks stopped.  

In many issues, such as how much documentation to submit with your original petition, you two represent opposite sides of the issue.  I like seeing both methods presented so that people know what their options are.

However, the personal attacks detract from your messages.
