Title: How long are Police Reports valid?
Post by: MarkInTx on October 18, 2002, 04:00:00 AM
A question about the police reports for the exit interviews...

I think I read somewhere that a police report is valid for six months. But I can't find it.

Does anyone know?

I remember reading that it was also 6 months. I believe it is listed in the instructions of the Biographical Data form from the INS. But I didn't find it, in fact I just scanned several pages on the INS website and can't find it.

Maybe they don't need it any more? Criminals are now welcomed here, it would seem. 8')

(just kidding)

The police cert info would come from the embassy - Dept of State -- probably rather than INS.

A year ago the Moscow embassy (the liason officer) said the police certs were good for 1 year along with the med exam.

Today someone posted on another list that Moscow (the pay phone line operator) was saying 6 months for the police cert.

Warsaw may be/probably is different.
