Title: Need good travel agency....
Post by: ChrisB on October 15, 2002, 04:00:00 AM
My Russian In-Laws will be visiting for a month in November. I need to find some good prices from Moscow to Atlanta.

I'm looking for web sites and/or phone numbers.

If you have experience using one, please feel free to give your opinions.

I've used Lufthansa round trip, booked from Go To Russia heer in Atlanta. When I need the two One-Way tickets to bring my wife and son back to the US, I simply went to the Lufthansa desk at a Hotel in Moscow and bought them. The One-Ways I bought were half price from what the Agencies in Moscow wanted. Besides, they wouldn't sell One-Way tickets.

Anybody have some good recommendations?

Thanks,

ChrisB

http://www.skyauction.com

Bascially, it's e-bay for airline tickets.

You might be able to get lucky... I don't know.

I can't use them because most of the tickets to bid on are in pairs, which doesn't help me... I'll need three...

They sell an "air pass" now that lets you travel through Europe on interchangeable airlines...

I believe that most US travel agents only book flights OUT of this country.  Good luck...

I've had agencies say I can buy here and fed-ex tickets to Russia. The agency my wife called today said it's usual for an airline to charge $50.00 per ticket for a Moscow ticket pickup, if paying from the US.

In May, this year, Aeroflot wanted 5 dollars per ticket to allow payment by credit card here and ticket pickup at their office in Moscow.

My problem is that I don't want them to go to New York, I want them to arrive in Atlanta.
