I remember weekly troll attacks and constant warring. But that only goes back two years. Maybe three years ago this was a model of decorum and tranquility... That I make a completely straight-forward response to a poster's questions - and suddenly, because I didn't stop to consider that I might make hurt poor little Marky-Mark's feelings, I am accused of "cheap shots" and the like. After I thought about it more - it began to rankle me just a bit. Now, on this board, we are apparently supposed to tip-toe around littly Marky-Mark's feelings - lest we say something that [Heaven forbid!] Marky-Mark might find offensive!! Never mind the fact that he has admitted being at the center of many of the most senseless debates. Never mind the fact that he is the one intentionally misrepresenting the posts/messages of MANY on this board - all to continue to stir up crap - AND he consistently devolves a debate into an attack on personal character. Never mind that fact that he made the conscious choice (at least, I *presume* it was conscious --smile--) to post details of his relationship that some - maybe many - feel warrants a response. If not for his sake - for the sake of others that might be misled by his effusive and lovelorn nature. And - in my particular case - never mind that fact that I didn't associate my response with Marky-Mark's history. I don't hang on every word that Marky-Mark writes - and as he is one of the more prolific contributors (and I use the term VERY loosely) to this board, that is a good thing. In case it isn't obvious - I do not intend to 'dance around' Marky-Mark and his ultra-sensitivities. I won't fall prey to the pressures to be ultra-cautious with my posts should they fall within the broad boundaries of Marky-Mark's 'pain' zone. As for the other Mark (MarkH), he and Jack are clearly at odds. I wish it were not so. I suppose as a paid-up member of "Bragg's Brigade" (according to Marky-Mark), I really should be supporting Jack's side of the argument - and while I *do* see merit to Jack's side - I also see MarkH's perspective. I've attributed it to one of those issues in which reasonable people (and unreasonable ones too --smile--) can, and will, disagree. So - FWIW - in summary, I too wish the board would become a venue in which there is less sniping and fewer 'wars' being waged. It grows wearisome for all concerned - and I suspect it puts off more than a few initial visitors. I will do my part - provided others do theirs. - Dan Title: Facts? Dan, It is impossible for me to have "my feelings hurt" by anything you say, because I have no respect for you at all. I think that this waiting for your girl as well as other life problems has made you quite paranoid! Just think for a minute that people really do not care about you and Victoria. Would that not be strange. What if people made post without you in mind............. What is the real problem huh? Starting to have doubts? VEry normal. I know that you have more brains than that. As for Dan's comment... since he responded to the same thread where the comment was made, I find it hard to believe that he didn't read it... And, this came just shortly after Jack's insinuation that I didn't find a good Ukrainian woman. Put this together with the fact that LP has made (unsubstantiated) claims that he met my woman and passed on her, and that Dan worships the ground LP flies over... and am I being paranoid? Maybe... As I anticipated, you don't believe that I didn't connect Frank's question to *your* history. Little wonder there. To be clear - I do not, and have not, read each of your posts. You are FAR too prolific for me to keep up with - and the topics are often of no interest to me. While it may dash your obvious sense of self-importance, you are NOT the most interesting poster here - at least, not IMO. Tell you what Mark - just for a moment - imagine that I did NOT think of *YOU* while I was responding to Frank. As difficult as that may be for you to do - give it a try. I suppose there will always be combat here, it can't be blamed on anyone in particular, it was that way before the current combatants came here to begin with. Heck I remember when Jack first came here and so many gave him crap over who he was----I still have the photo he e-mailed me of himself during that time because I thought that I had met him on one of my trips to Ukraine. To those of you who have kept posting here for whatever reason, I salute you in your efforts to help others learn the in's and out's of this endeavor.
