I get to the book below, but I must say that I have at times gotten on people about their braggadocios exposes on their sexual exploits. It seems there are a few "sophomores" that haven't moved on to a more mature stage of life. I did not pull the trigger, and criticize juio for the simple reason that some of what he said made sense, though some seemed a little bragging. What I would like to say is that what he says is verified by Dr. Annette Fuglsang Owens who wrote the recent hit book: The Penguin Atlas Of Human Sexual Behavior. It is rather incredible really. It outlines the incident of STDs world wide, the practices of birth control, marriage practices, sex crimes, and love making habits of people world wide. I will get to the point in a minute, but here a a few interesting facts! The youngest average age for girls to have their first sexual experience is: Czechoslovakia - age 15 The country where married couples have the least occurrences of sex among married couples aged 16-45: Hong Kong - at 50 times a year. The US - 160 times per year. The Arranged marriages occur 80% of the time in China. The men who spend the least amount of time during the sex act (including foreplay of course): The most time to perform the sex act from start to finish (including foreplay of course): There was even an add in the London newspapers talking about what great lovers Englishmen when quoting this stat. Of course you Brits do it with a straight face right? Anyway, the stats on love making effort show that the Russian men don't care much for foreplay. But then again - who says that RWs like men who are not forceful and rather abrupt????? I even read an AW who wrote she preferred the RMs rather animalistic "primative" manner in relations. The good Doctor, I believe, is from England. Her colaborators on the book were largely from Hong Kong and China. It has unbelievable graphics (pie charts, etc). Buy the book. She tells how her and her compatriots did their field work and aquired their data. Then judge! The book has received rave reviews from every analyst and critic who has read it. The Kinsey report wasn't all fact. But some scientists do fabricate. Does anyone remember Margaret Mead. I think she was associated with the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. She fabricated sociological data and research among Pacific Islanders, stating that they promoted sexual freedom among their children as early as age 12. The society was without jealousy, rivalry, or other social ills due to their enlightened sexual attitudes. Turned out later all of her research was a fraud. She and the museum were disgraced by the evidence against her. Does it happen? Yes! But the only information that lends itself to any brow raising as far as I can see is the information on the "foreplay" issue. The rest is too scientifically supported and reasonably available through other sources, such as the UN. Good post, Steve - very informative and interesting. I think it demonstrates that it wasn't the subject matter that got JR in bad graces with the good citizens of Oz, it was his MO... like Marxism, you'll find Yoe's posts to be kind of utopian,weird, and without rationality. He does have good insight on RW/UW and he gives positive encouragement on finding and marrying an RW/UW so he is tolerated. No doubt... hehehe It should be noted, however, that I am not affecting a Martyr complex, Joe... Actually what drew me here initially weren't the fights, it was the trip reports, and the sharing of experiences. That is a lot less these days, I admit. What has happened is that a lot less guys are posting their experiences now, because no one LIKES being flamed. FWIW, I think this is in part because of the lack of Trolls. When trolls attacked once a week, it kind of drew us all together. Without the trolls, everyone on here becomes a lot more selective of who they think is "OK". Kind of like there was no talk of Black/White relations right after 9/11... And, what happened was the "Old Guard" became selective and exclusive. If you had posted for over a year, you were (generally) OK. (except for a few of the on-going feuds...) If you were a new guy (like Oscar) then anything you said was open to debate. Personally, I thought that diminished the board. But, the fact that when I came back after my hiatus, I was readily accepted back into the "old-timers" club, made me hesitate to say anything at first. I mean... I was sitting at the "cool kids" table. Why make waves? But then after I started thinking about it, I decided that the cool kids weren't so cool after all. In fact, most of them are just punks with bad table manners. So... I was "kicked out of the club" and now I'm public enemy number one. So what? Frankly, I would have left a long time ago, except I keep getting emails from newbies after some of the posts here. And, some of the guys on here (and many of the guys no longer here) DID help me out when I started so I like to share what little I know, as a way of paying back the debt. I have never claimed to be an expert. My experiences are all anecdotal. I haven't made as many trips as Dan, I haven't bedded as many women as LP, and I haven't made as much money as Jack... All I can tell guys is what worked for me. And that's all I do. The rest of it be dammed... Are they doctors or Mechanics.......I know I being very foolish and naive, I just want to make sure when I read such inspirational wisdom that I record it in my library of deap thought properly. And I'd bet there would have been a lot less 'upset' with juio's comments had he made them in a manner that wasn't so vile. I agreed with most of your opinion Dan, but also I was torn. I knew some of his insights through self gratification and discovery were true! So I just kept my impression of any chest-thumping to myself. But I believe a lot of it was intuitive and supported by this book.
