Title: Kevin was right! Post by: Jimbo on February 27, 2002, 05:00:00 AM The latest Legarda post on Mag-Anak lists a site where she is supposed to get her info from: www.gabnet.org ("A Philippine-US Women's Solidarity Organization"). After looking at the site and seeing that they also align themselves with the 911 "Blame America First" crowd, I'm with Kevin; these people are no better that Nazis.
A quote: "Indeed, the US itself was and continues to be instrumental in the creation and shaping of the Taliban, in the fostering of fundamentalism and fanaticism. And certainly, the US has been a prime creator of a world climate wherein the large-scale slaughter of civilians has become acceptable." Unbelievable! And these are the people who want to educate the world on the true nature of Asian-Western introductory Services??! I hang out on the Russian site. I found an article referencing prostitution and trafficing of Eastern European women that sounded so genuinely sad. Then I looked at other articles on the web site. It was all left wing feminist cr@p. When you look at the other stories around these trafficing/prostitution/MOB articles, it usually causes the story to lose credibility. Title: Re: Kevin was right! Hi Hum, Why don't you put it up on here or the Nipa Hut. The "hut' could use some new life. If that board doesn't come alive soon, I'm going to post my short, yet rude, crude and lewd poem I read off the back of a US sailor we found passed out in Angeles. It's quite the poem. The board needs SOMETHING! :) Jay Title: Re: Re: Re: Kevin was right! Post by: Humabdos on February 28, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Re: Kevin was right!, posted by Jay on Feb 27, 2002

Hey Jim, It must be tough for these women, being on the rag 24/7. I believe they feel cheated by God, not having been born with a "package" to satisfy their girlfriends. The term "Fem-Nazi" fits nicely! "Lesbo-Nazi" also works! These women, who live a good life, set on their butts and "Gab," have no sympathy for the millions of hardworking Filipinas at home and overseas, who deeply love and are supporting and caring for their families...whose actions speak many times louder than the propaganda that spouts from orifices at Gabriela. Oh well...the feminists will never have enough of what they really want and need...Testosterone! Even in the wimpy "men" Dave H. Title: Sad... The trouble with groups like Gabriela is that they make up or alter facts to support the propagnda they have created. Then they are quoted by politicians and the news media as if they are well respected experts. In fact, Gabriela appears to be nothing more than an extreme left feminist propaganda terrorist group. Filipinas are being "sold" to Japan as "entertainers" and as overseas workers, with full support and encouragement (New Heros) of the Philippine government. Why isn't the government very concerned about their welfare? Very sad that politcians are too foolish or well bribed to clearly see the truth. Dave H. Hi Dave, Also, looking at the postal addresses they list, they're all in the US, so how much "Philippine-US Women" solidarity is there, really? I'd say that this group is mostly a radical liberal American bunch trying to 'enlighten' and 'educate' the women of the Philippines. Jim Title: Actually... I believe that the founder of GABNET is a Ninotchka Rosca. She is a writer who was supposedly banned from the Philippines and is living in exile in the U.S. Title: Interview... Post by: Dave H on February 28, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Actually..., posted by Ray on Feb 27, 2002
This is part of an interview of Ninotchka Rosca. It was conducted by Alfred A. Yuson for The Philippine Post Magazine. "The Philippine Post Magazine is all about Filipino-Americans. It's about things they do and how they feel as they carve out a better future for themselves and their families in America." ------------------------------------------------------------ ‘I'm still very Filipino’ -- Ninotchka Rosca Literature & Culture By Alfred A. Yuson "She was here in Manila from New York for but ten days, primarily to attend a conference on women’s issues and sex trafficking, on both of which she has been recognized as a world expert. Q: Earlier this evening, someone mentioned a 27-year old. Would you care to clue me in...? A: (Laughing) No, no, that was just a joke. The last time I was in Europe I was introduced to this young man, and he just stayed around, you know... I’m too busy. Q: He was this usual puppy. A: Yeah, like that, like a little dog. I’m too busy. You know... you laugh with him. It’s very flattering but I’m too busy. I WOULD love to have time for romance but I have none. Nakakainis. Q: Isn’t that the supreme irony? Here you are dealing with the issue of sexual traffic, while in abstinence on an individual level... A: Well, you know what? After hearing the stories of all these women, what happened to them, I feel like I don’t want to talk to another male again. The rest of my life. Talaga naman. I do not understand how the country can countenance it. It’s horrible. I have been turned down for visas all over the world because I carry a Philippine passport. Because they think I’m going in there, you know, to marry one of these guys or to be in a brothel or something. Horrible. Nakakainis. K: Any final words? To your literary fans here and all your friends, say, in Gabriela, and all those who see you as a shining light or a champion when it comes to activism in the name of women’s causes... N: Please find somebody to replace me (laughing). I have five novels still rattling in my brain. Five! I’ve got them all complete in my brain. Q: And they’re all... Filipino? A: Well, I would define my writing as Filipino... and exile. The first two novels were very much in the tradition of the Filipino. The next novel, this third one, is an exile novel. Q: And the next five? A: The next five will be global. I’m a citizen of the world... because GABNET is US based, working with GABRIELA Philippines. The question then becomes how much of the US GABNET group is American vs Filipino? Jim Title: Re: That fits, Post by: Ray on February 28, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to That fits,, posted by Jimbo on Feb 27, 2002

Funny thing... They mention in one of thier articles about women being sold, 3 examples of Filipina's having problem's overseas. One of the persons is a Filipina who was executed in Singapore for killing a couple of kids. Her name was Flor Concepcion. Here they call her Flor Contemplacion! Hey Jay, You're Right!!! This martyr was not important enough for Gabriela to get her name right. They didn't bother look it up...just made up a new surname that sounded close. Gee..they will probably try to bombard us with spam like they do everyone else who disagrees with them. I received two unsolicited photos from my wife's cousins who were looking for American penpals...you don't suppose that I'm now a sex-slave trader too? ;o)) Oh, I married a Filipina so I guess I already am. like Dave said. From the site: "Mutual respect and affection in marriage depends to a large extent upon economic and racial equality," Ms. Causing said. "So long as one spouse, whether male or female, is obtained commercially or to be blunt, is bought, respect for and self-respect of the spouse suffer." So the races aren't equal? Don't marry outside your economic standing? That's open-minded and tolerant? And a spouse is 'bought'? No facts there. Jim Title: My wife and I are the same race... Hey Jim, My wife said she was middle class (like me) and she had Spanish (Celtic) ancestry...so I guess I'm in the clear. ;o)) That "economic and racial equality" quote has got me wondering too. As far as economics...we all probably earn more than President Gloria and Senator Loren legitimately. However, I don't know how much Loren makes in the stolen cell phone business. Dave H.
