Title: Trip Report 3 Post by: JT on August 30, 2002, 04:00:00 AM By the end, rw #1 was simply getting rude with me. She made it clear she expected that other gift I had mentioned. She bought an expensive wristwatch, and did not even say thank you.
She took me to the airport to leave (I never did see rw#3). I asked her what gate to go to, as I cannot read Russian. Although she knew my flight info, she rolled her eyes and said "Why don't you unpack your suitcase and find your ticket", and walked off. Wow. I was extremely angry at the time, but only laughed, partly because I simply could not believe she had the audacity to say such a thing. She later returned as I was to leave. She said "It is customary to sit down and talk before you fly." Whatever. I did, and soon realized why she said this. We had gone out with a couple and they had paid for an expensive dinner. I told rw#1 that I wanted to get them a gift. She brought that up, and wanted rubles. I gave some to her to buy the couple a gift. Who knows if they ever received it. Anyway, I walked to the gate. As I was to leave, she was about to say something ...I got an idea ..I gave her a deep, passionate kiss in front of everyone just to piss her off. She looked dumbfounded. Before she could say anything, I turned and walked away. Surprisingly, she yelled "e-mail me when you get back." I got on the plane, thinking about rw #2. |
