We were also over the allowed amount for intra travel, ie. Kiev to Warsaw (OK on the international). At the Kiev airport I figured it would cost us an additional $300 dollars according to the luggage rules (2/person) and the weight amount). At the check-in counter, sure enough, the lady asked for overage amount, but low and behold, my wonderful future wife began a discussion with the clerk and now it was just $100...and we all know were that went...then the clerk preceeded to give us passes to the excutive business lounge in the airport (free snacks/drinks and air-conditioned!!)... plus she upgraded our tickets (from Kiev to Warsaw) to business class...what a deal...just let your future wife bargain with them, and don't show the clerk that wad of money in your wallet...good luck. |
