Title: Las Vegas is a GO! Post by: Stevo on August 15, 2002, 04:00:00 AM Thanks again for everyone's input regarding places to stay. After checking out all the places mentioned and reading reviews from you guys and people who have stayed at these properties, I went with the Venetian, primarily because it is an all-suite hotel (650 sq ft minimum suite size).
If anyone of you married guys (or single guys for that matter) are going to be in Las Vegas from 11/7 through 11/9, let me know and maybe we can meet up. Stevo Title: Re: Las Vegas is a GO! Welcome (soon anyways) to Vegas. Try not to lose too much at the casino's. You picked a good spot, as there is alot of hotels and attractions at that part of the strip. If you plan on going out to see the sights off the strip, send me an e-mail and I can give you some additional advice on where to go Squirecam Title: Re: Las Vegas is a GO! Stevo, If you haven't already booked with them already, you might look at getting a room resrvation thee through Expedia.com or something like that as you often can get huge discounts.. Just a thought. Oscar The Venitian will be great.. Title: I started with Expedia and Travelocity, but found it cheaper... to book directly with The Venetian (by about $100 for a 3-night stay). Title: Re: Las Vegas is a GO! Post by: MarkInTx on August 15, 2002, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Las Vegas is a GO!, posted by Stevo on Aug 15, 2002
Sure... give us choices and then go with something else... Well, the Venetian is one of the two 5 star hotels in Vegas, so you are bound to impress her. It is gorgeous. The ceilings in the lobby are stunning... Just DON'T use the ATM in the Venetian. They charge a fee PLUS they charge a percentage of the money you take out! Other Casinos just charge a fee (like about $2.50) I actually originally hoped to be having a wedding in Vegas about that time... but that is dependant on my having a bride here to marry. Have a blast! Vegas is a great place to spend a weekend! Title: Mark- Post by: Oscar on August 15, 2002, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Las Vegas is a GO!, posted by MarkInTx on Aug 15, 2002
Mark, Where were you thinking about getting married there?? I have been checking out the wedding packages at Mandalay, MGM, Cesars and Bellagio.. I am leaning towards Mandalay from what I have found.. Oscar Title: Re: Mark- Post by: MarkInTx on August 15, 2002, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Mark-, posted by Oscar on Aug 15, 2002
I was going to try the chapel that KenC mentioned... sounds nice, and I think it would be a lot less expensive... Title: Re: Re: Mark- Post by: Oscar on August 15, 2002, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Mark-, posted by MarkInTx on Aug 15, 2002
Are you meaning the little chapple of the west?? Just so you know, they have wedding packages at Mandalay Bay (their chapels are beautiful) for as low as like $675! Includes photos, officiator, and a bunch of other things... Title: BTW - Comment and question re: Vegas Post by: MarkInTx on August 16, 2002, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Re: Mark-, posted by Oscar on Aug 15, 2002
The Mandalay is the one place I haven't stayed in yet that I really want to. But not in November, I think. It does actually get cool in Vegas. Not cold... but cool enough that you wouldn't want to swim, and the one thing about Mandalay that has me wanting to try it is that it has the best pool... BTW a side note... someone told me once that Caesar's Palace has an indoor "clothing optional" pool. I've never heard of it. Can anyone else confirm this? (Not that I am planning on going there on my honeymoon! I was just curious, because I thought I had heard about everything in Vegas...)
