I got a divorce 3 years ago. It took a almost a year before I had the
slightest desire to do the dating thing again. Had three short romances in
5 months and they all had strange ideas. One after 5 dates decided to inform
me that she’d like to have a Corvette (hmm so would I, but not likely anytime
soon LOL), another after 6 or so dates basically asked me what could I do
for her (not what can we do for each other), the third after dinner on the
first date just needed to get into the sack (not my idea of a good wife). This
is when I started searching the web for dating sites on AW.

   I really didn’t have an idea of looking to the FSU for a lady let alone
a wife. One night I was searching for sites on dating an AM women. For
some reason A Belarus Bride came up in the search engine. The site
was intriguing to me. This caused me to search for other sites on ladies
from the FSU. WOW there was 100’s of them from offering tours, the ones
with search engines, so you could order up ladies that meet your requirements
and you buy the email or home addresses, the ones with free email addresses,
and a number of more ways. I also started to lurk around a couple of
lists like this one, but at the time never heard of Planet Love RW list. I read
where a few used the free email sites and had a number of ladies trying
to scam them after a couple of letters. I didn’t want to go through that. You
may though. The Tour route wasn’t for me either. The best I would do there
is meet a lady that I would return to the states write to her.

   When I saw the counters that some of the ladies profiles had with
the number of times her address was bought totally blew my mind. Hmmm
me pay for a address of a lady that 100’s to 1000’s of men bought? Naw
not for me. I made my choice of agencies after calling and talking to them
and then going to their house for a more intensive look at what they had
to offer.

   I choose 20 ladies from 33-48 and my age at the time was 44. Of these
I chose 10 of the closest to my interests and then painstakingly made a cut
down to 5 for the first I’d send out the generic intro letter to. Of the 5 I received
2 positive responses and after 2 more letters found out one didn’t want
any children. Well I want to have 1 child, so that eliminated her. I then sent
out intro letters to the second 5 ladies.

   I received 3 positive responses from those 5 ladies. Still writing to the
one lady from the first 5; I wrote to the other 3 a short while and something
just didn’t feel right and the answers to some of my questions weren’t what I
wanted to read.

   At this point I decided that I’d concentrate on the one lady from the
first 5. Some will state this wouldn’t be a good decision. They maybe right,
but this is the way I did it.

   If you feel you have the need to private mail me feel free to. If you want
to comment on the list please do so as that’s what this list is for, but don’t
bother posting if all you want to do is flame.....me, the way I pursued my dream, who I used and the like. I don’t need to read it and others don’t need
to read it. Feel free to discuss other ways to meeting a lady, other questions
to ask when writing, or anything helpful to someone.

Considering all of the critics standing on the sidelines lately, it is a brave thing to post. I appreciate it (as do almost all of the guys! Unfortunately, the ones who are enjoying the post are more likely to just remain quiet, so  you may hear more from the others)

The one thing you said in the preamble cracked me up, because I met a woman who said almost the same thing to me:

"So, tell me, what do you know about making a woman happy?"

"Beg pardon?"

"I'm not going to bother dating again unless the man knows how to make me happy. So, I would like to hear what sort of things you do to make a woman happy. What could I expect if we were dating?"

I'm not making this up! (And, mind you, we were only going to get together and play tennis!!!)

BTW... you didn't say... What agency did you go with?

I do this usually a couple of times a year so thought now was as good a time as any.

No MarkinTex, that is the idea. I have done this a handful of times in the past. Some guys see the offer, some don't! I'll let you know how many others see it. Shhhhhhhh

I used the website that Tony chewed up and spit out last
week. Just shows you you can't please them all. *-)
