It's a little slow around here so I thought you might want to see some photos. I went to Tver in May and got engaged with Alla. Thanks! I actually took 14 rolls of film but I've been so lazy about scanning more in because the scanner is sooo slow. I got the nickname Japanese Tourist while I was there. In Moscow we would pass groups of Oriental people and I would get "Hey John! There are your friends!!" Title: Re: Some photos.... John, thanks for sharing. I put some pictures on Yahoo, but the indication was I could not let others look at them without paying some money. Is that what you did: pay some money? How much does it cost? Hey JR, No, I don't pay anything. You have to pay in order for people to see the photo "full size". Those photos are scanned in and are somewhat larger than you see them there. I've been using http://photos.yahoo.com for a couple of years now, never been asked to pay to post pictures in there. Do have a limit on the amount of storage bandwidth and I have to pay to get more, however. Tip: if you use photos.yahoo.com I've noticed that default setting is to make the photo's "private". I usually have my set to "public". It was easy, once you downloaded the special software. Do you have a hotmail account? I don't know if that makes a difference, but I do, and it was a piece of cake. Really... Hi Anastassia, Thanks! You know I've noticed that often the people who are engaged/married seem to have somewhat similar facial characteristics. Now maybe people just tend to pick out a partner that favors themselves. But I know that Alla and I seem to think in very much the same way. When I was writing to her and when I met her I could understand what she meant and could relate to it much better than with anyone else. And that makes me wonder - is there some sort of genetic similarity going on? It's a strange thought, especially since she's from the other side of the world. Has anyone else noticed this? And when I was writing her I kept thinking that I probably wasn't going to like her when we met since people are never the same in person. But in this case she was exactly as I thought she would be.
