Title: Question on Police Report for divorced lady- Post by: Oscar on April 30, 2002, 04:00:00 AM My Girl Alyona went to the Police to ask for her Police Report in Dnepropetrovsk and should have it very soon. But having been married before, I was under the assumption that she needed TWO Police Reports, one under her maiden name and one under her married name. I asked her about this and she said "no, the Police were quite clear about this and told me I only need the current one with my still married name".
Any thoughts on this from any of you guys who have done the police reports with a divorced lady before?? Thanks in advance... While it's been a couple of years, I believe a current report is all that is required for the Warsaw visa interview. Unless things have changed, she needs a police report under every name she has used and from every city or district she has lived since age 16....the document my wife filled out in Moscow asked to list her given surname and married name, but I do not know about Ukraine specifics. Your best bet is to get the required info from the Warsaw embassy, so she will not be sent away without the proper police reports. Sometimes it takes persistance on her part to get the required info. Good luck. |
