The Russian Consulate has just informed us that *effective immediately* all Even though this new form is so new it's not even posted on consular

The only thing these guys left off of this supplemental application, was "what position are you applying for?", and "what is your anticipated salary with the russian government?" This is a very important turn of events for many of us. (I love the comment about the "Consular logic". LOL!) I wonder if this also applies to Transit visas. Hopefully I can avoid ever using Aeroflop via SVO again, but never say never. I just got back and am going to Novosibirsk and Moscow May 14. I did not have different visa requirements. Maybe this was just instituted. I found the Moscow airport to be much more efficient the last time I flew through. Title: Bruce... Just curious. How long are you going to be in Novosibirsk? I will be spending a week in Moscow the beginning of June. From there I am headed to Novokuznetsk and am also planning on spending a few days in Novosibirsk (this will be sometime after the first week in June). I may even head down to the Anapa/Sochi area towards the end of the month. tight trip, like 10 days or so (someone take me hostage there so I have an excuse! lol). tanya at red star travel was able to arrange me a flight out of atl for less than 1200 bucks, (ie order today, get tomorrow thing, about 400 less than every other online deal I was able to get!). I don't have the luxury of much more than this though.. Da... I'm stuck with my itenerary, but I'm happy with it. .... getting the heck out of here .... I will be staying at the Golden Valley Hotel close to Academgorodok, the place I will be working out of initially. I know after a few days I'll be out in the field collecting samples as part of a rabies project. I do not know how much time I will have but will meet up with the girl I met in Sochi on a weekend in Novosibirsk or Moscow, where I will be at a conference prior to coming back to the US. The Golden Valley is a new Soviet Style cheap hotel - but I do not have much to say about things on this trip because it is business first. Hopefully, I'll hook up with you and we could have some shots / beers shoot the breeze for a minute or two. Title: Cheap is good. I have this link http://waytorussia.net/Siberia/Novosibirsk/Guide.html I do not have any personal experience with any of these hotels. Tatyana is making the arrangements for me in Novosibirsk. I can ask her about this. She is off work for the holidays so no email. I will probably talk to her on the phone sometime this weekend.
