Title: Article on MSNBC now....
Post by: Oatmeal on May 03, 2002, 04:00:00 AM
It is about the sex trade and sex traffic of ladies from the FSU (more specifically, women from Moldova)

Really sad, sad article.  Hard to believe that human beings can be so cold and brutal.  I know that this is just another part of life but it bothers me to think how these A-holes are making money of some girls misery.

This is yet another reason I don't think so highly of European morals.  They legalized prostitution and then let this forced sex slave crap go on.  One article I read estimated that several hundred thousand women from Ukraine have been forced into this type of work.  The women aren't just taken to other countries in Europe but to the Middle East and the orient.

It seems surprising that some RW/UW women think they could have that happen to them in the USA, but you can understand their attitude when you realize they see this happening all the time over there.

Don't forget about all those females in China, the far east as well as many in south america.

Just remember were the top of the heap.  Most americans would rather not watch, let alone read this kind of stuff.

It's like Larry from 'feed the children'... he's wearing a parka and warm boots in Afganistan and he's is surround by little kids without any shoes and barely a blanked.

And he's asking for people to send money.

When was the last time you gave ?  nuff said.

This kind of stuff happens here too. There's a booming sex/slave trade in North America. And I'm not talking about Mexico. The numbers are less and it's easy for most people here to ignore our own problems. Some of those girls who are bought in Asia and Eastern Europe are shipped to Canada and the US.And there are plenty of poor girls born and raised in the west who are taken advantage of in the same ways. It's a world wide problem.

Until the economy improves and even then the lure of a quick buck can't be squelched.

While some of these ladies are no doubt victimized and do not know their rights as they are too young and naive.  To know better.   Some look at it as a well paying job.

To hold someone at gun point and strong arm them into slave labor.  Is a terrible crime.
One in which will have psychological problems for years to come for the girls.

No doubt, some of these ladies you've dated have probably been in that situation.

It is down right awful people get exploited like this.

I wonder, was it like this during the time of Russia vs USA ?  Pre-independence?

Oatmeal, seems the middle east is full of beautiful russian girls being exploited like crazy. One more reason to "intervene" over there and straighten those boys out.
