Title: K-3 success Post by: DR on March 13, 2002, 05:00:00 AM Hey guys,
Just wanted to post a little update. Had a successful K-3 visa interview last week in Kyiv. Everything went smoothly. The staff at the Embassy was in every way respectful and courteous; they even let me relax comfortably in the US Citizen lounge while my wife had her interview. After successfully securing both a K-1 and a K-3 visa, my wife and I feel like the K visa champions! ;) All in all, the K-3 visa process, from start to finish, was twice as fast as the K-1 process. Mileage may vary so don't count yer chick'ns yet! Cheers... Title: Diverse interview procedures.... You filed in mid-December I believe? Hope she likes it. You're within a 4 hour drive of lots of good places to visit. If you still have that little zoo out on I-24, that might be a nice place to visit. When I went there 10 years ago they had a lot of different cats which is what I like. Fall Creek Falls is very nice and Lookout Mountain was always a favorite place for me to go. She might find it interesting for it's history. Title: You are right. Tennessee has plenty of activities for anyone interested in nature. Apart from the zoo, we didn't have an opportunity to visit any of the sites you mentioned when she was here last summer. We did manage to make it down to Sewanee, my alma mater, for a day but that was about it. As soon as the weather clears I think we'll taking a trip down to Fall Creek Falls and Lookout Mtn. :D Title: Re: You are right. Hey maybe you're pretty smart after all. That's my brother in law's school. I think he also went to military prep school there in the late 1960s. He's an outstanding doctor now. When I move back to that region I'll see all that stuff again with whatever girl I get. Congratulations! How much English does your wife speak? Steve Title: Re: Re: K-3 success Post by: DR on March 14, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: K-3 success, posted by Quasimoto on Mar 13, 2002
Her English is pretty much perfect. Her vocab isn't as extensive as a native speaker, mind you. The funny thing was that the interviewer insisted that the interview be conducted in Russian. In K-visa processing. You probably learned more than you ever wanted to know about the INS and K-visas. Outstanding news that it all went so smoothly! When will you two be back in the US?? - Dan Title: We're already back! ;) Post by: DR on March 13, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to CONGRATS David!
