Title: Moscow Hotels / Flats / Transfers Post by: hockeybrain on March 14, 2002, 05:00:00 AM What are recommended transfer services and reasonable prices from Shermento I to II as well as airport pickup to a hotel / flat with next day pickup delivery to Shermento II? I am presently looking into alot of trip possibilities. Anyway, many of them involve going to far away places inside Russia. To do this I almost invariably have to fly to Moscow Shermento I and spend 1 night in Moscow for the next days flight from Shermento II. The return trip is much of the same ie. fly to Moscow and spend a night for the trip to JFK the next day or just transfer from Shermento II to I for the trip to JFK. Thanks for the incountry travel related insights.

HockeyDude, To be driven from Sherm.I to Sherm.II, $15 or $20, but you can take a bus that goes between the two airports that will cost probably less than $2. It really is a shame that one would have to spend $20 to go between the two airports (as one is on one side of the runway and the other is on the other side. The two airports share the same runway) and if you barter and look around you can probably find someone who will do it for $10. The local taxi drivers will not do it for less but there will be gypsy taxi drivers who will. To be picked up at the airport and driven into Moscow, $30 to $35. I know of good flats for $90 a night, and hotels for about $85 a night. Of course there are many wonderful Hotels, like the Marriott and Sherton for $200 a night. Thanks, Dallas just robbed two good young hockey players from the Rangers for one older hockey player with milage plus a young guy who can not cut the mustard in Dallas - thats why the Dallas Stars continue to be a good / contending team every year and the New York Rangers suck every year. Management - plain and simple. I am glad I can watch hockey anywhere and appreciate the good players - to root for my home team is pure misery!
