Title: Small point of humor
Post by: John K on February 21, 2002, 05:00:00 AM
I was rebuilding (ie. souping up) the family PC when I ran across an amusing incident.  I had set up the Internet Explorer with both Russian and English languages, with Russian being primary.  I had forgotten about it until I surfed over to Google search engine to do a search for a tweaker (called XTEQ).  Imagine my surprise to see it come up in Russian!  Somedays you never know...

I build locked down application PC's using XTEQ, TWEAKUI, and the IEAK.  While I could mess with the Policy Editor, I really don't have a need to.  Between those three programs and some additional info, you can pretty much configure your machine to only work within certain parameters.  That's even on a PC running Win 9x, which has almost no security to speak of.

At home, I use it for performance tweaks, but XTEQ is very versatile for whatever you need...
